@ZaZ have you tried with inverted wingers now that they changed the way they play in the new patch?

@ZaZ Hi ZaZ, who do you use for corner taking? In the first post it is saying DW's, but the updated tactic don't use defensive wingers anymore.

I have to start a new career with my Hertha. ^^
There is the Winter Update + i made mistakes at the beginning of my save (missed training, changed it too late etc.).
I mean, the 3.3 Winger etc. were 1st season brutal good. Didn`t even finished the save, could be even league winner (3p behind, 4-5 matches left).

Whatever, will try your 4.0, especially ith the Solid vs stronger teams.
Wish me luck and have a great day@all
Later CupFinal Liverpool - Chelsea. :)

Yeah you still use your wingers mate for corners, left side takes left corner and same for right side, just don't use your CB's

I did, but couldn't get good results with them yet.

My bad, I'm gonna fix it there. Should be wingers if they are close to top corner takers, but if someone else has way higher corners, like 2 or 3 more points, then leave it to best taker.

I have been using this tactic with Basildon United in a lower league save using the lower league database. I don't have players that can really play in the IWB or the RPM position. But I am smashing it the league and got to the first round proper in the FA cup in both seasons. It is a great plug-and-play tactic and could be the best one out there. But you still have to take care of your training and in-game management. Thank you ZaZ for your time and effort, I am enjoying the game again.

I'm testing this right now, Blue 4.0 with IW-Su. Initial results are pretty good, so I would be happy if anyone could also test and tell me how it compares to Blue 4.0 in your testing leagues. Thanks in advance!

When you said 4.0 would be the last version you make, does that include adjustments (ie 4.1) as well? Because I figured the new patch might change some small things

BLUE-4.0 What happens if you change the tempo?

Have you tested at all a mix of one being W-su and the other IW-su? Would be curious to know if those roles mixed together affect the overall tactic too much

I just mean I won't make many changes to Blue anymore, that instead I'll focus in developing other tactics. I'll still check Blue with IW and IF just because that was the major change of the patch, but even then, I might call it another thing if it works well.

High tempo is one of the most important parts of Gegenpressing and counter attacking game in general. If you change tempo you lose intensity when you get the ball, reducing performance.

Instead of doing that, you can use Light Blue to rest players during match.

No. I will eventually check for White, my asymmetric tactic, but it's not on the queue yet.

If I change to a direct pass style, does the performance get worse?

I can't say it does because difference is marginal, but I believe it gets slightly worse.

At what minute do you suggest making substitutions? In addition, in which positions is it more beneficial to make substitutions?

I usually make two subs at half time and save one for around 70 minutes mark, in case of injuries. Most of the time I end up substituting wingers or some player that has a high match load.

I'm testing it right now, I'll let you know once I completed 3 tests for each version

Thanks! I'm now testing IF-Su instead, and the difference doesn't seem to be big. IW and IF really got some improvement in performance.

After the second run W version seems still better than the IW one.
Third run in progress.

I did try to change W to IW (or IF) after the patch release. But for me, seem like W still better. Even though IW and IF movement did get improved. You can checkout the "Godball" tactic. It got 0.2 points increased

Probably because of the SS? Maybe the IW role is better in a 442/433 tactics

IF-Su is giving me good results. Better than W-Su for some teams, worse for others, but seems on a similar level overall.

How can I waste time in big matches while I am leading? Can I use Solid Blue 4.0 with the frequent time wasting instruction?

WesleySniper said: How can I waste time in big matches while I am leading? Can I use Solid Blue 4.0 with the frequent time wasting instruction?

You can, but waste time will decrease the performance of any tactic.

ZaZ said: You can, but waste time will decrease the performance of any tactic.

but there're scenarios when you lead like 2-3 goals and it's about 30 mins left and I think in such scenarios you really don't care about the general tactic performance because the solidity of the defense is more important at that moment

Yeah. I made a light tactic for when the match is won, but you can make it even lighter by reducing tempo, pressure, line of engagement and setting to waste time often. It's just that you can only train three tactics at once.

But let's say you're Norwich and you lead by 2-3 goals vs Liverpool and in this case I really don't want use anything "light" and I'd rather to use something "rock solid" and "time wasting"

Can't have tactics for all situations. Waste time is good for that, but it will drop performance.
