'Touchline Shouts' in FM

by Zippo, Nov 22, 2020

Hey,

We've tested the Shouts and found that they are essential and give a huge advantage so here's a small guide about the Shouts in FM.

During a match you can release different Shouts to boost the morale / body language of your players.

You can do that about every 10-20 minutes.

and if you use a proper "Shout" for the situation then the morale will improve

I just want to add that if you're going to handle the Shouts yourself then it's always more beneficial releasing Shouts to "Entire Team" instead of "Individuals" because it affects all the players at once.

"Fired up be the feedback" body language means that you released a proper shout that motivated your players

As I said it requires releasing the Shouts every 15-20 minutes during a match which can be quite annoying so if you don't want to be bothered with doing them then you can delegate them to your assistant manager.

If you're going to delegate the Shouts to your assistant manager then to do well he should have high "Motivating", "People Management", "Tactical Knowledge" and "Determination". Also, if these attributes are at a high level then he'll be very good in doing the Team Talks.

I've found that against stronger teams you should use
-Encourage and No Pressure if tied or after getting scored against
-Praise after goals and if leading

Against worse teams
-Encourage when tied in the first half
-Demand More when tied later in the game
-Fire Up/Berate they are leading/scored a goal to equalize
-Praise if leading

Don't know much about the others as I don't use them, but maybe this is a little helpful :D

Hi to all. Just from my experience, the shouts i use are:
1) Encourage when tied or if losing by one goal
2) Calm Down after first goal
3) Praise from second goal and on
4) Berate if losing from two goals and more

Most of the times the above have positive feedbacks that can give a small boost to your team chances of winning the game.

After receiving praise, they conceded a goal. :D Tried and approved.

I agree with the others.

Hi everyone. Now that encourage as a shout is gone from the console version, did anyone manage to find a good replacement for it? As far as my results, praising the team after leading is still working very well, but now I'm not sure what kind of shout to use when a match is tied or I'm losing, I've been experimenting with the other 3 (demand more, focus, fire up) but none of them seems to be working consistently.

Hey,

I'm a very lazy person and I find doing the shouts is boring as hell so I always leave to my assistant manager and it seems he's been doing great :)

As far as I know there is no option for this under Responsibilities in the console version unfortunately :/

Any updates on what is the best shout for which scenario?
Also, what about team talks - body gestures?
