FMSuperScout: free open source scouting tool for FM26, with a meta score built on FM-Arena attribute testing

by mavali, 6 days, 9 hours ago

I built a free, open source scouting app for FM26 and this community deserves a heads up, because one of its core features stands on FM-Arena's shoulders.

Every player in the tool gets a meta score (1-20): a weighted average of the attributes that win matches according to FM-Arena's attribute testing. Pace and Acceleration count heaviest, then Jumping Reach and Dribbling. Two players with equal CA? The one with the higher meta score usually performs better on the pitch. Credit for the underlying research goes to this site.

The rest of the tool: press F9 in-game and the full database of your save (45k+ players and staff) is pulled from memory in about 10 seconds. After that everything is instant. Attribute filters with hidden characteristics included (Consistency, Important Matches, Ambition), role ratings for 19 FM roles, FM-style comparison, squad gap analysis, development charts across seasons, and shareable player cards as PNG with the full attribute grid in FM colours.

No accounts, no ads, nothing leaves your machine. Windows only, FM26 only. If you consider hidden stats cheating, there is a toggle that hides all of it.

Looks good, although my only problem with these is that you cannot filter by players willing to join your club. I just tried with this one and Bellingham was ranked "Low" on interest (14/100) but his agent in game said he would be delighted to join. Is there no way to get this filter to be accurate? I also realise that this may mean AI interest in the player. If that is the case is there a way to actually filter by who is interested in joining? Looks great by the way, the best version of these scouting sites I have seen.

Unfortunatly, but after instaled this tool, FM26 stops loading. It worked after uninstalling... so somethings wrong :/

Thanks a lot for this tool, it's super fast and intuitive! I'll be keeping a close eye on its development. The foundation is solid and really enjoyable to use.
Are there any plans to add a filter to spot 'wonderkids' more quickly? Also, would it be possible to add a filter for player personality, or maybe factor it directly into the Meta Score?
One more thing — would it be possible to include height and preferred foot in the search filters?

This is a difficult one, since FM calculates this on the spot. So this is a sort of best effort, reversed engineered way. Can be more accurate for sure, but it's difficult to find the exact numbers. Will try to improve this for sure!

Hmm first time I heard this. Can you maybe report a bug via github if you want? Then I receive all relevant files to investigate!

All good ideas! Instead of filtering on personality, I filter on big matches, ambition etc, but got your point!

Wonderkids, I would say search for young players with a high PA, but again got your point.

Once again, thanks for all the work you’ve put into this tool! I can’t stop using it. If there’s anything I can do to help with the beta testing or in any other way, please don’t hesitate to ask – I’m here to help!

Thanks for your reply! I will add you to the list with beta testers. Can you maybe share your email via dm? :)

FMSuperScout 1.3: see which players are actually developing, and catch every newgen the day the intake drops

Quick recap for anyone who has not seen it: FMSuperScout is a free, open source scouting tool for FM26. Press F9 in game and it pulls the full loaded database (45k+ players and staff) out of memory in about 10 seconds, CA/PA and hidden attributes included. After that everything is instant.

The new thing in 1.3 is that it remembers. It already saved a small snapshot every time you pressed F9, and now it actually uses them.

Growth column. Pick a period and every player gets a growth number: how much CA he gained since that date. Green up, red down. Sort the whole world by it, or filter on it. "Everyone who gained 10 or more CA in the last year" is one filter, which on my save is 4,096 players out of 51,000.

Intake Radar. On youth intake day a bar shows up: X new players appeared worldwide since your last dump, and here is the best one. One click shows them all, sorted by potential. I think this is the one thing other tools genuinely cannot do, because they only read the present. A brand new 16-year-old with PA 178 looks exactly like every other 16-year-old unless you remember what yesterday looked like.

Also new, straight from requests on the forums: wonderkid filter, height filter, preferred foot filter.

And one proper fix: loaned players were often missing under the My Club filter [...] my own club went from showing 3 of its 12 loaned-out players to all 12.
