OpenFootball - Football Manager like open-source simulation engine

by ZOXEXIVO, 5 days, 2 hours ago

I've been working on an open-source football simulation project for a while and wanted to share it.

OpenFooball

Instead of managing a club, the focus is on simulating an entire football world that keeps evolving on its own.

Clubs, leagues, players, transfers, finances, and reputations all interact over many seasons, so you can watch careers develop and see how the football landscape changes over time.

One thing I wanted to build was a stable simulation platform. Rather than redesigning everything every year, the goal is to keep the data model and interface consistent while improving the simulation itself.

Some questions I enjoy exploring:

Which clubs become dominant after decades?
How much can one transfer change a player's career?
Can believable league tables emerge purely from simulation?

I'd really appreciate feedback from people who enjoy Football Manager

This is so funny because I was working on the same thing, but in C++. I guess I should scrap my project then haha! Nah all seriousness mate, good work on this one.
