ZaZ said: Anyway, when you train a player in another position, it might increase the CA by a couple of points Expand To be exact: training a player in another position doesn't directly affect his CA at all, it just increases the position rating, which varies from 1 to 20 but gaining the position rating increases the CA "price" of attributes (not the CA itself) and if a player doesn't get a CA promotion/increase after position training then some of his attributes will inevitably decrease to "fit" into the CA value that he had before the position training.
So training an additional position is like exchanging some level of the attributes for the position rating.
ZaZ said: I have added a new piece of information to the first post: "Use Focus Play Down the Left/Right whenever you have an advantage on that side, (when your opponent has a weakness on that side, or when one of your flanks is clearly stronger than the other). Should I just change this in the tactical overview before each match?

There is an option to change a tactic just for the next match, right before the match starts. Anyway, it's very easy to change it inside the match too, but I don't recommend changing in the tactic page because you can forget it on.
@ZaZ after this discussion with you and zippo about retraining, it's an absolute no brainer to retrain Ws and FBs to the opposite side because theres no negatives
Middleweight165 said: @ZaZ after this discussion with you and zippo about retraining, it's an absolute no brainer to retrain Ws and FBs to the opposite side because theres no negatives Expand
There are two negatives. First, you will have slightly less tactic familiarity (in only one of the fields), but in my tests that difference was not significant. The other negative is that FM22 keeps removing individual training for position when players get injured or after some unknown events, so you need to reassign it once or twice per season.
Anyway, even if there was a real negative in performance, it wouldn't be bigger than the benefit of having better players in the flanks. For example, if you have 2 DL and 2 DR trained in a single side, you are forced to use one of each position. However, if you have 4 players trained in both positions, then you can always use the best two, even if they are natural from the same side. That means your flanks will usually get stronger by training in both sides.
ZaZ said: The other negative is that FM22 keeps removing individual training for position when players get injured or after some unknown events, so you need to reassign it once or twice per season. Expand
I noticed that individual training for position is removed when all the following is true: a) you instaresult a game; b) the player is initially on the bench; c) your assistant manager subs him in; d) the position he is subbed on is neither his natural nor the one you train him for.
Sorry if this has been answered already but when it comes to the training schedule, should I leave the 'match preview' that gets put in automatically before each game or should I replace it with 'defending'? Thanks

You can leave it. I mean, it's more effective if you replace, but it's also very annoying to do that every season, and when new matches are added to the calendar.
Dear ZaZ, I think the old training system is better. I played with the new system for about 3 seasons and observed that my players were injured much more often. I think players need recovery training.

I still use it as attached. Expand
The new training is focused on attribute growth, so it indeed causes more injuries than the old one. However, paired with automatic resting, it shouldn't be too problematic during a season.

I use the auto rest system, but still there are too many injuries. I also think that I achieved more successful match results in matches with your old system.
What about corners and free-kick settings? are they in the tactic or we should set them manuel in the game? if manuel where can i find your recommendation one? Ty

Hello I know I'm little late to the party cuz of FM23 beta launch but I start playing FM22 few days ago and I have to say this tactic is really really good for my Serie B Perugia team
Also many useful tips in the thread as well. I'm using Green 5.0 beacuse I don't have too much deep in offensive for Blue and Perugia have really solid CM options for Serie B standards imo. Tactic slow down a little bit at the end of the year but still manage to get 17 wins in a row so very good. Great work ZaZ! Also have one question about training.
I have loaded your schedule
but in the calendar it looks like this
and I have to manually change it every week and when I quit game and load again schedule is also empty. Is this a bug? Or I have to do this everytime?

Thanks for using the tactic! And yes, unfortunately you need to manually change every week (you can use copy and paste), and it resets every season. It's one of the features they need to improve.
Thanks for answer. Little annoying feature for sure lol Since my last post I finished Serie B with points record and in the first part of the season in Serie A still keep good results with Green From disappointing Benevento game I stared using Blue at home more often and it works too! I have one more question. I'm in WC year and my players back from holiday at 2 december and league start again in january. Should I arrange some friendlies and normal training whole month or something changes here? Great tactic again thanks mate!

You have time to rest your players from fatigue, but staying out of action for too long will decrease match sharpness, which can increase injuries. I would book one friendly per week, or maybe two if you can play with completely different teams (it depends on the size or your team). I would also let the assistant manager control those friendlies, but it's your choice.
Do you use the exact same training for your reserves and youngsters as your first team? I'm mostly curious if you have the same settings for the (Rest) training?

Same training, same rest settings, and also remember to fix coach assignments. Even if you don't want to run youth teams, it is a good idea to pick the selection to youth team, so you can put the right players to have more match time.

Apologies if this has been covered but what do you do with Touchline Shouts. Think the tactic is great but sometimes there are games where my team just can't perform despite games before where they have completely dominated. I am presuming this is just a case of sometimes your team can't play well for every game but was wondering what impact touchline instructions have

Sorry, only what is on the first page of this thread.
Saw some people complaint the training gets too many injuries. I also found this to be the case, especially with older players.
What I found is that if you add any individual training at all then the player has a high training workload.
My solution to this was either don't use individual training, or, change the rest intensities to how they are in the image attached. This keeps workload at medium even if you add lots of individual training.

You can set it to no pitch or training when under excellent, so they only train when their condition is at the best.
