I know that performance analysts provide data for data analysis by examining the statistics of the team and players, but I have no idea what player analysts are really doing. Do the players have an individual contribution to their development?

I think performance analyst checks data about your team, while recruitment analyst checks data about scouted players. I might be wrong, though.
