Reworked a bit Re-Cookie to check how IWs stand
I have a hunch that width is very important on this game, a bit like it was in FM22. Last year we could play IWB with IW no problem but I'm not sure that's the case now

Or WBs on Attack duty are OP on FM24 Beta
Because if you didn't notice wing backs, complete wing backs, wingers and defensive wingers don’t have Run Wide With Ball PI enabled by default this year.

Yes but even them I'm sure it's the width doing it. @Blau uploaded a version of this a few days ago that did incredibly well with DWs. I've been testing the same shape since with IWs and it has been nowhere near as good

Interesting observation, let me do some testing from my end.

Last year there was an “issue” with wingers in general (W, DW, IW) that in order to have a winger cutting inside you had to have the role of an inverted winger in your tactics. But there was a slight difference in how each winger role behaved and that was the width they provided in the final third.
The wingers/defensive wingers kept the width in all phases of the game while the inverted wingers, when the build from defence to attack was over, they cut inside WITHOUT the ball. The same is true in this year's version for the inverted wingers. The difference with the wingers/defensive wingers this year is that they can cut inside WITH the ball at their feet but still maintain their width in attack WITHOUT the ball.
Also the reason why the cut inside roles worked better last year and this year is because of the latest updates they made to FM23 ( ME 23.2 ) that encouraged more central attacking play.

Okay I was definitely wrong about the width then, I've got one more of these shapes testing now with a few different instructions. But I reckon you've cracked this system

Keep in mind that all of this are just 1200 games, we are just checking which shape are working etc.
We really don't know if SI is gonna make again magical changes between beta and full release.

Unless they think this game is too easy, I don't see them changing anything tactically. Last year, the only thing that worked on the Beta was a double pivot, but this year anything works to a degree. I think they'll turn down the injury frequency but that will be it

I do quite remember they even made the GKs like the one we have even on FM24... but i never did a beta before, so i was just reading around about that they usually make some M.E. changes etc. on full release.
