I believe it when i see it. My best bet is that it is going to nerf strikerless just a little bit, and it will be still meta. But honestly fingers crossed, I'm really hoping for strikers comeback.

Btw guys, did one random holiday season on the new match engine using top strikerless tactic - won PL and FA Cup with Brighton. Ofc if there is any meta change it will show up on tables, but surely strikerless is still effective, and IMO probably still meta.
I guess might be better to put info "Precision test" into Table legend or somewhere top so to mention it once. I believe (might be wrong) +-2 precision for tested atts will be static if you use the same N of matches - 1350. Don't think it worth putting as it is now under each tactics.

Enter the name of the tactic mate, then hit tab, the button should become available, strangely though when I'm saving a tactic the other tactics aren't showing in the save window pop up

Thank you! The more I play this game, the more I realize how much it is worse than the previous version.

One of the things I hate the most is to have only summaries in the inbox, and having to click to read the actual message. Not being able to resize the screen is also pretty annoying.

I agree, a lot of clicking to get to certain screens. I don't like the fact that after playing a game, the league results don't pop up. I also really like the player, team stats and competition tiles on the home screen, I actually really like the progress status on the competitions tile where your lowest finish would be displayed in the league etc..

Most likely the strikerless meta will hold, it's just going to be a little less effective (a few % per tactic)

As I understood it is for PC only? Console will follow some time later? Currently console ver is 1.007 which corresponds to 26.1.2 according to https://mp1st.com/title-updates-and-patches/football-manager-26-first-update-2026-version-26-1-2-console-patch-1-007
