I'm posting here because I need some help tracking down a FM 2026 tactic that was originally shared on this forum. Following a full PC reset, I lost my tactics and save files. I had the original thread bookmarked, but unfortunately, my Mozilla Sync data was lost as well.
My goal is to start a fresh save on FM26 to showcase how successful and fun this tactic was, and to give the original creator the proper credit they deserve.
As a reference, I have attached an image named "for example.png" showing the exact lineup and assigned roles. It is a strikerless setup structured as follows:
- Attacking Midfield: 2x IF (Wide), 1x SS (Shadow Striker)
If anyone or the forum moderators recognize this setup and can point me to the original post/author, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance for the help!
Unfortunately, that's not the one . The main characteristic of the tactic I'm looking for was that the defense always remained a back four when out of possession.
Essentially, whether the team was "in possession" or "out of possession", the shape always stayed as a 4-3-3 strikerless.
I think I'll just be left with the regret of not having saved it on Steam like I always used to do.

Hi CBP87, I've just finished checking the tactics included in that list, but sadly, the one I'm looking for isn't there. In all the ones I had the chance to look at, during the out of possession phase, the midfield either stays flat or the defense drops into a back five...
Mea culpa... I only regret not leaving feedback on my careers (all completely successful, especially my globetrotter save) back when I had the chance to do it.
I'll also try searching for it in the FM24 section, just in case I'm mixing up the exact forum thread...

- Defense: 2x WB (Wide), 2x BCB (Central Defenders)
- Defensive Midfield: 1x DM
- Central Midfield: 2x AM
