Hello everybody and thanks for this tactics Magician.

I would like to make a few remarks.
Very good for underdogs team to my mind. I play with Guingamp in Ligue 2 (French 2nd division) and the results are incredible:
1st season: championship won (promotion expected)
2nd season: 3thd in Ligue 1 (expected 20th)
3rd season: 2nd (expected 16th) and finalist against Chelsea in Europa League
4th season: 2nd at half season

What is very interesting is that every player in the squad can score and not just the attacking players.
But the flip side is that forwards don't score a lot (my best is 22 goals on 38 games).

It is very impressive how my team can be very strong (at least not ridiculous) againt top teams but also frustating to see that it can be very laborious agasint low teams (no large win).

The big downside is the ratio shots on target conceded vs goals conceded. The opponent only needs an average of 3 shots on target to score a goal. So yes I don't concede a lot per match but it happens very often to me to take a goal when the opponent has shot only once. And my goalkeeper very rarely gets good grades. He's not the one who can win me a game.

This could be explained by the fact that I play with an underdog team and my players are weak but I have the same statistics playing three seasons with Tottenham. Harry Kane is very disappointing.

This is not a criticism but I would like to know if the observation is also shared.

I have the impression that this tactic is good with any player on the field and that having top players does not improve it.

Thanks for this tactic and for reading me and sorry for my english i'm not a native :)

The opponent needs 3 shots to score, but how many shots do they get per match? Maybe the tactic is so safe in the defense that opponents only get to shoot when they manage a perfect pass or cross that leaves the striker 1v1, not managing to shoot from other conditions. Then, it's natural to concede with few shots, since you stopped most other situations to become dangerous.

P.S.: From tactics that score over 2.5 goals a match, this one has the second best defense (least goals conceded), which means the 3 shots per goal is not so meaningful.

Awesome tactic broooo :)

What is the new v3 ultra attacking used for? Is this permanent for the season or in certain games?

Here's some info from Magician about how to use that tactic - https://fm-arena.com/thread/935-further-boosting-of-phoenix-v3-0-tactic-performance/

Hi guys, was wondering why cant we only play attacking version only and why must switch between version 3.0 and 3.0 (attacking version)? I though play the very attacking throughout the whole game.. what are ur guys view?

The "very attacking" version has a better attack and the "default" version has a better defense.

If you want to boost the attack then use the very attacking version if you want to boost the defense then use the default version.

It's simple as that.

Great tactic, i had huge success with top and underdog teams.
You wrote about most important attributes for strikers, wingers and c.mid.
What about defenders, cd, dr/dl and dm? what are they most important attributes and do you add additional focus for them.
Thanks!

if you have pure strikers in your team what you do with them? Do you try to trainning them to be shadow striker?

Train them in SS postion - with Double intensity and played them there during friendly games

Has anyone looked into positive and negative player traits within the positions and roles for this tactic? I know TFF used to do this a lot for his tactics. For example, would “comes deep to get ball” be a negative trait for a shadow striker in this system? I know the way the tactic plays that we don’t ideally want wingers with “cuts inside” as we want them providing width instead, and for the MC “get forward whenever possible” seems to fit the attacking role really well. I’m just struggling with consistency for my Shadow Strikers so was wondering if anything extra is out there that I’m missing 👍

Hi all!. Should IWB have the same foot as wingers? They have cut inside instruction. I usually try to teach them to play on opposit flank, and they usually recieve a bit higher ratings when they are inverted, but I don't know about whole tactical impact on the result.

It doesn't make much of a difference. It's important for IF and IW because they cut for a shot. For IWB - Su, they don't cross or shoot much. It's basically a feature to define if they pass better to the center or the flanks of the field, but this formation is strong in both.

Is it just me that's not being successful with this tactic? Even losing to Brentford, familiarity is full as well.

I try it with Karabükspor. Media Prediction is 20. Not successful neither. I think it is not good with small team. My team defenders are shooting the ball forward without aim and opponent's attack start.

I used the Phoenix 3.0 tactic, the very attacking version and the conditions saving version for 3 seasons with West Ham.

I'd say West Ham is a quite small club, it's predicted to finish the 12th place by the media in the 1st season.

In the 1st season I finished the 6th place

The media prediction in the 1st season

The team at the end of the 1st season

The transfers in the 1st season

In the 2nd season I finished the 1st place

The media prediction before the 2nd season

The team at the end of the 2nd season

The transfers in the 2nd season

In the 3rd season I won the league title again and also, won the Champions League Cup!

The Champions League Final vs Man Utd

The media prediction before the 3rd season :)

The team at the end of the 3rd season

The transfers in the 3rd season

In summary for 3 seasons with West Ham I won 2 EPL titles and 1 Champion League title and that despite the fact my was still weaker than the top teams in EPL such as Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea

They perform almost the same. It's probably just randomness.

I've tried both tactics Phoenix v3.0 and ZaZ - Blue 2.0 and I find there's no difference between them so you can pick any you like.

But for me there are 2 additional things that greatly improves my results:

1) Following this table when it comes the attributes - https://fm-arena.com/table/9-player-attributes-importance/

2) Using the very attacking version in the 2nd half when you need to score
