4-6-0 SS (ZAZ - Blue 3.0 Tweak)

by BlueGambit8, Mar 30, 2021

I've created a tactic with the shell being based from ZAZ - Blue 3.0 created by ZaZ. Instead of wingers there's a trio in the midfield with 3 shadow strikers running in behind on a consistent basis. I've used it with Aston Villa and won the league (being on holiday). With that being said, here's the tactic:

Back to front, the two WB (s) provide width without compromising defensive structure and leaving voids on the flanks for the centre halves. The DLP (d) in midfield acts as a metronome being able to distribute to more advanced players and also being able to find the WB's as they provide an option on the flanks. With regards to the two CM (A) players in front, they provide through balls for the SS's running in behind as well as them making marauding runs themselves past the centre halves of the opposing team. The goals and assists primarily come from the SS's. With there being three, one will on occasion pick the ball up and put a through ball in behind for the other two to finish or the CM (A) to run at.

With there being 3 SS's, you'll often see all three being available for an option in channels either side of the centre half from a CM (A) through ball. You'll also have the CM (A) running through, too.

In respect of opposition instructions, I've never applied them as it can sometimes alter the efficacy of the tactic. In regards to training and training schedules, I have never used them personally and usually defer to the assistant manager. With regards to set piece takers, there's nobody in particular set, just the best player in each role.

Aston Villa:
We managed to win the league with Villa.

Manchester City:
3/4 cups with a Champions League win, FA Cup win and Carabao cup win with 2nd place in the league.

Fulham:
A Top 6 finish with Fulham.

Once again, credit to ZaZ and the ZaZ Blue 3.0 tactic providing the inspiration for this tactic. Any and all comments are welcome, constructive if possible. Have fun and share the results if you have any. Thank you.

@BlueGambit8, hi.

Your tactic is VOID 2.0 with Positive mentality

Evening all, I genuinely had no idea VOID 2.0 existed. My apologies to the original architect of the VOID 2.0 tactic. Thank you for the heads up @Tsubasa. If the thread is to be removed, please do advise

I don't think you should delete it because maybe for someone Positive mentality would work better than Very Attacking. :)

P.S. I'm not a mod. I just let you that there's a tested tactic(Void 2.0) that is very similar with your tactic.

The thing im most impressed about is the AI arsenal getting 100 points.

The VOID tactic is awesome, although it is not flexible with its "very attacking" mentality. The author of VOID claims that toggling the mentality down seriously affects the performance. So there is almost no way to keep the lead in tough away games, for example. Would love to see how this tactic performs in tests.

Hi,

Recently, Cyborg uploaded a time wasting version of the tactic, which can be used to protect the lead.

Have you seen the formation of the time wasting tactic? It doesn't replicate VOID at all

Yes, it has a slight different formation but it doesn't look like a problem to me at all because if you can fit your team in the default VOID 2.0 then you also can fit your team in the time wasting version without any problem.
