This tactic uses a much less urgent pressing intensity, the aim is for the team to hold a shape making it difficult for teams to play through them.
The team looks to go man for man across the pitch to limit the options for the ball carrier, often making them have to play a high-risk pass with a low percentage of being successful.
With the ball, the team is aggressive looking for quick counters and high tempo interchanges to unsettle the opposition.
The front three tuck inside playing narrow, leaving space for the full-backs to overlap and put in crosses.
