ZaZ
Thanks for testing!
Solaris said: I've run a quick test on the new ZaZ's tactics with Arsenal

ZaZ - Shock 0.3

ZaZ - Acid 0.3

Thanks! It's still very preliminary, but results are not bad.
If anyone is interested, these are the tactics I'm currently testing. Keep in mind that I'm still in the process of defining the roles for players in those formations, especially for wingers and strikers.

(P.S.: I had update two equal formations by mistake, because I was deciding the name. One of them was removed.)

Tejash said: @ZaZ for fire0.3 do the training instructions and remain same as blue 4.0 from the opening post? like GK train reactions etc and rest quickness

Until there is enough time to test, I assume it's the same.
Tejash said: @ZaZ with fire 0.3 major problem is lot of cards and leaking goals easily!! Any solution to that?

Check the info in the first post of Blue: https://fm-arena.com/thread/1831-zaz-blue
Tejash said: @Mark For me 4231 SIU is doing wonders are you sure its not better than fire 0.3?

He said he will test further tomorrow.
Tejash said: @ZaZ In my Arsenal test I found leaking goals however with 4231 SUI it was more stable and won everything but couldn't win with fire. Can you please check in your test if its better..

I have a variant of Blue with one striker moved to CM (frost), and another with one striker moved to DM (shock). I have just started testing the best role for wingers, striker and DMs in these formations. For Shock, the best so far is with two Vol-At.
Belladonna said: Thanks for the tactic ;) am i right in saying the only difference between Fire 0.2 and 0.3 is the higher defensive line?
I've tried it at lower league level and it works brilliantly in short bursts but eventually you get overrun even when changing the mentality, probably better for teams with better defenders as the ai is probably adjusting to the large gaps in midfield ;)

Yeah, the difference from Blue 4.0 is drop off more (0.2) and higher defensive line (0.3).

Thank you for testing, and I will make sure to add light version for resting players and a more defensive alternative after release.

Lapidus said: Does anyone know whether FM Touch version will be available for PC this year?

I never played Touch version, but I hope someone can answer you.
Sandro said: the Arsenal score doesn't look good :(

To be fair, Arsenal is very weird for testing in this version. It can get very good and very bad results with high variance.
Eric said: 4 tests of ( FM22 ) ZaZ Blue 4.0

4 tests of ZaZ - Fire 0.3

Thank you for the tests! The difference is not so big, so it's really hard to tell which one is better. Looking only at those results, one could say Blue 4.0 is better, which might very well be true. We will only know when FM-Arena starts testing for real. =)
Tsubasa said: @ZaZ, have you tried any other mentalities besides Positive?

Not yet. I'm focusing in out of possession, since most changes were in that area, but I will reach mentality eventually.

First match with 0.3 (CL semi final)

Wow, nice results! Poor Sporting. =)
D0WN3D said: You might want to look into FM Genie Scout tool, to me, is much better than the editor.
Shows so much more data than the editor. Unfortunately, it cannot edit stuff tho.

The whole point is to edit the league and players to remove variance like injuries, getting fired, consistency and so on.
Tejash said: @ZaZ fire0.2 tested with Arsenal. It's very open defensively, leaking lots of goals. I guess its very attacking that's why? Finished number 3 first season..

Thank you for testing. Fire is just a new name for Blue in FM23. It is the same tactic, just converted to the new match engine.

For everyone else waiting, remember we are here just to have fun. I am checking some different instructions, and it's pretty hard to measure with precision when you don't have the editor to make testing more stable. One thing is to test instructions individually, another thing completely different is to test the synergy between two or more instructions. It takes time, even more when I can't make a special league to test yet.

Anyway, here is the best I came up to now. I am still trying to find some improvements before I start testing different formations and roles. Keep in mind that the difference is not very high, and might even be non-existent after I test with more precision, but right now, my tests say there is a difference statistically significant. Let me know how it works for you!

Sorry, I had two variants with better results, but the combination of them didn't give the expected results. There was some anti-synergy that just made the tactic perform worse. Now I'm testing those two again to see which is better, then call it 0.3. By the way, Fire 0.2 is already pretty good, so it's not so simple to make it even better.
Zippo said: @ZaZ, no worries. I've moved all the posts and discussion here.

Ohh, so it was in another thread! I thought for a moment I was hallucinating. =)

Rooney said: Yup, too open defensively. Offensively i think its still good, really hoping for something today :)
Oh and Thanks @Zippo for moving us here

I didn't start investigating roles and positions yet, but I think maybe IF isn't working as well as last version, and F9 also seems to be disappointing. I have yet to check if that's that problem, and why it's happening.
Rooney said: and how much better than Frost would you say it is? Thanks

Frost isn't so good in this version.

P.S.: I got confused and answered something that had nothing to do.
Ucan said: And how much time left boss? :D

Three tests to go, with ten runs each, because results were too close and it's hard to say which ones are better, and which ones are actually just statistic noise.
mir1337 said: When you release the 0.3 version ZaZ? It's been 2 days, 4 hours

Still testing some things. I got three variants that gives better results, but the version with instructions combined didn't work well. I'm double testing each of them to see which version is the best. It takes time because each test is made with 1.6k matches (double test is 3.2k), and that means I can only test around two variants per day.
Samscott83 said: Thanks for that. Some of that is good advice. Do you have a link on what is best to do for team talks/Touchline shouts/press conferences etc

Sorry, only what is on the first page of this thread.
