Narrow Phoenix V5 Tweak

After lots of frustration finally found something that is really consistent in this patch.


I was planning to end my first season with predicted 9th IK Sirius in Sweden, to show you my dominance in the domestic league. But I got so ecstatic with my Europa League qualification matches, with a final 4-0 destroying of a much stronger team (Basel), away!, going through to the group stage, that I had to share it with you guys.


Not much to say, it's a phoenix tweak, so full credit to Magician, I just changed one position and role, and added a corner routine from other tactic. As Babemocni suggested me, and it counts a few goals on the season, the corners should be taken right corner-left foot  left corner-right foot.

The central CM should be an attacking type, as he scores a lot of goals.

NO OI'S, No shouts, just plug and play.

Phoenix is quite consistent, I don't understand why péople think it performs badly.

It’s one of the most consistent tactics I have ever played, you are totally right. But it’s a dimartino tweak who might be one of the best tacticians around, so that alone interests me

Was not talking about dimartino specifically, but recently lots of people are bashing Phoenix for a couple of bad results. I think some people get too impatient when they lose 3 or 4 matches in a row, but I think no tactic is immune to some bad form runs.

Yeah people forget they are 90% overachieving massively and then blame the tactic when they suddenly have 10% what the actual performance should be haha. I mean I lost in the CL against Liverpool.. hard with Dinamo Zagreb. I don’t blame the tactic, I just thank the tactic for bringing me to the spot it should have (normally) probably never been in

It seems like a good tactic but holy hell is it hard on all the players during a match.

Magician uploaded a condition-saving version of Pheonix as well. If you're up by 2+ goals and don't have to worry about result anymore, just switch to it.

I will try this because its narrow and I have a soft spot for CM'S and I'm not a big fan of wingers (dunno why don't judge me :lol

That's clearly an overstatement, as I just tweak tacticas from the top tacticians. Obviously I understand that Phoenix is one of the best tactics around, but I don't know why, I was not getting consistent results. Dominating almost every match with high xG, failing tons of easy chances, but a lot of unfair of 1-0, 2-1 losses. With this one I'm scoring more, with consistent good results, and it seems like the opposition has a hard time playing against me. I don't like to waste my or your time with nonsence. When I share something, it's because I really think it's worthy. A bit surprised with the test result, but It's not the first time something that really works for me, to have a bad test result.

Don't get discouraged. Different tests get different outcomes. Phoenix and Blue didn't go very well in fm-base, for example.

Small advice  - if you observe something like above for a few matches clear the squad and ste your startup 11 for nearest match again. Works for me either it was PHX_5 either now ZAZ Blue3.0
