The main goal of this tactic was to create a strong defensive base while also having a good counter-attacking potential. I used standard passing with a higher tempo and pass-into-spaces instructions. I tried shorter passing but that didn't prove to be as effective with the pass-into-spaces instruction and standard passing felt much more balanced. A balanced mentality worked wonders and created very good defensive and attacking results. Also be more expressive because I had some very creative midfielders and forwards who could utilize this to great effect.
