Season with Werder Bremen: Sold slow players, keept only four players in first 11 from original team. Bought fast players( pace, acceleration, jumping reach, stamina, anticipation, dribbling)
won the league very easy, proving that speed is everything. tactic used odessa 1.0( from Babemocni) can you test it please?
It's true I create a club in console with mid low players with pace aceleration above 15, dribling to for the atack players, gk with reflex and agilty also above 15 and won all cups with crazy results, the atribute testing is a gamebreaker, it's crazy how easy is to break the match engine. This also gives us more freedom to play with the tatic with the formation we want, Because even in de Hall of Fame table the margin % is very small, know I have more fun triyng other's formations and find new gens with the efective atributes. This dosen't mean that top players will perform worse if they don't have the rigth atributes, but means we now have got more bargains to make deals and keep good runs in the cups agaisnt the top teams and players.
The importance of athleticism isn't that horribly unrealistic IMO (are clubs with poor athleticism winning top leagues regularly?) and I'm not sure it's even that unbalanced. I think you can win big leagues with good but not elite pace/acceleration (12-13) in a lot of positions. With some meta tactics, even good speed is optional - with one of the better 4-2-3-1 tactics I had Isco rack up assists with his 11/11 or whatever.
If I'm going to object to something about the game it's how quickly athleticism falls off for players over 31 and how nothing in the game (hidden attribute, trait, natural fitness) exists to counteract that.

It's pretty unrealistic imo, I think IRL that the actual physical speed of players is a lot closer together across professional leagues than what's represented in game. The biggest difference is how fast the best players can process information and react while keeping their technique. I always assumed SI juiced the physical stats of top players so they would be clearly better in the engine.
Maybe I've just watched a lot of bad super athletic soccer players following US Men's teams and MLS. It cracks me up that the best stragegy in FM is to just recreate US Soccer's strategy in the 90s-2000s.
