I tried creating a 4-2-2-2 tactic and conducted several holiday tests with both Manchester City and Sheffield United, with decent results. I also used it in two PvP matches where it performed fairly well. However, the current match engine limits the tactical ceiling of this formation, and I expect its ARENA test score would be relatively low. This is because the ARENA test save uses players with specific attributes that may disadvantage certain player roles, and faces AI teams with predetermined tactics, meaning test scores don't fully reflect actual effectiveness in offline saves. Additionally, ARENA's stricter evaluation standards mean tactics scoring above 50 are actually quite viable. You can search the leaderboard for formations matching your preferences - there are many tactics with different styles by various creators available for download and testing.
