FM22 Tactic Testing

I don't think corners are so absurd as people say. Before we had 100 goals a season with 20-25 goals from corner, now we have 140 with 30-35 goals from corner. The proportion seems about the same to me, it's just that teams are scoring more. I might be wrong, but it's just my feeling.

Yeah i was kinda surprised as well that my tactic getting less than 20 goals in a whole PL season got battered in the tests.
Defenitely needs tuning imo

@zaz as others mentioned corners strong , yet you don’t seem to pick play for set pieces ?

It seems to have very similar results with or without, so I prefer not to use it.

The problem imo is the very passive AI (with high possession in their defensive half) which 'forces' us to use very attacking mentality which leads to more shots and more corners and obviously more goals. Goals from corners are just a part of the issue and while the proportion might be same as FM 21 the higher number of corners together with the effective near post routine often leads to centre-back scoring 20+ goals in a season. Things get even worse against teams with very low reputation (see my CB's destroying our regional/state championship in Brazil). It's currently hard to develop other effective tactical approaches much different from these, which is why I'm not enjoying current ME.

Maybe corners are stronger, I was just talking about what I felt while playing.

Anyway, we have some tactics with positive or balanced mentality with good score. I hope they make teams concede less goals next patch, because I really dislike condeding 2 goals per match on average.

Can I ask what the difference is with the two tactic testing tables for fm22? We’ve got the original one and one with an (*). What’s changed between the two?

Maybe I am dumb but what do all the "top" tactics score a 5.4 specifically ? Why not one with a 5.5. and other with 5.6 etc. What causes that 5.4 number? What is it based on? What does a tactic need to do to score higher than that 5.4?

The rating is just "friendly looking" points per match and to get 5.5 rating it requires achieve high enough points pet match for it.

A tactic that achieves 100% of possible points is considered 10 score. If it achieves 54% of the points possible, it scores 5.4. It's that simple.

Create a new thread, add a picture of tactic screen and picture of results (league table).

Hi there - is there a start game save file we can download? Been trying out a few tactics and tweaks of tactics - they seem to be doing okay but don't want to spam the website with multiple tactics - would love to be able to run some short tests myself and only upload those that are working well.

I believe they are just skipping tactics too similar to something already tested. That means the more they test, the less there is to be tested.

The "Calcio Sambuca" posted by @carmeloanthony015 would be great to see tested. Cant believe that one has been tested before, seems so strong and unique.

tactique 1/tactique2 ( la tactique 2 c'est la meme que la 1 mais il faut juste faire monter les DD et DG en DLD et DLG voila) 3 joueur grand bon de la tete en AT le ATD gaucher et le ATG droitier (faux pied) poour rentrer et marquer. Les ailier droit droitier et ailier gauche gaucher. DG gaucher DD droitier DCD droitier DCG gaucher. La tactique 1 tout les match sauf quand l'équipe adverse joue sans ailier la la tactique 2. Tactique tres tres offensif on prend des buts mais on marque 3.59but par match de champ...Et mon equipe et jeune pas encore des joueurs imba. voila 😉 Cela serait cool si vous la tester....
