As far as I know if you have the official in-game editor enabled then you can configurate the default skin to view CA/PA. You just need to add CA/PA to a view like any other stats attributes, they should be available for adding.
@White Europe, there's no need in using a custom skin as I said you can add CA to any view with the default skin but of course, you need the official in-game editor enabled to do that.

Hi everyone this is my first post here and I wanted to ask as I'm a console player of fm is there a way of deciphering this information into filters for the console version or if there's any images of filters thank you in advance
Mark said: You need to also look at the positional rating on GS out of 20. For instance if the player is 49% for the position but only 10/20 they will be much lower. What the info you have is indicating is that if you retrained the player to full back up towards the 20/20 rating they would be easily your best player in that position. Expand
Appreciate all your contributions in these threads Mark, wonder if I can ask a question for clarity. The way I currently have the editor setup is to have each individual position+potential as an option and I sort by those based on either 50/25 under or ykykyk balanced - an example being the below image Here I go based off Winger - Inside Forward, sort by potential and I see Andres Dos Santos is the best rated in the game, so I go into the preview for the player and positions
Based on what you said, the fact it shows 20 for AMR is great because that matches with inside forward/winger but if it shows 10 - that would mean he could only ever reach that potential shown on the overall player view if I specifically trained him for it?

Genie Scout take in consideration the note of each position. Mark give the advice of note position because it give an impact of the % in GS. In fact, you can know a definitive note for a player if his position note/20 is at 20. If it stay at 16, the % will obviously drop down because the player don't know the position at a perfection point.
Does anyone know how to find a striker that will definitely score goals? Managing in the PL is made annoying this year simply by the presence of Haaland. Roko Simic and Nketiah are decent but don't score enough. I've been exclusively recruiting in accordance with ykykyk balanced and all Mark's work, but is there anything I should be looking for in my striker. Traits, specific attributes as well as the ones in the table? Who are you guys using?

You have to take into consideration that those GS ratings are for FM22 and created for Blue 3.0 in mind. So i think you have to choose somehow the same tactic setup in FM23 to work 100%. Anyway some attributes like Acceleration, Pace etc for all the positions are important for every FM game so i will recommend change some attribute weights inside Genie Scout accordingly to your player/tactic needs. @Mark can answer more accurate on this.

My testing indicates they still work, but I have gone back to my ratings. There isn't much between them

Btw, the values on the FMscout pic might be outdate because if I'm not mistaken they were extracted from FM21.
Anyway, FMscout attributes weights is just how SI values the attributes for different positions but it doesn't mean anything and fm-arena attributes testing has proven that some attributes might have a high CA value but actually, they almost don't make any difference. If you ask then I'd trust the actual test result. Expand

See post #233 on page 8. The 83% player with 16/20 drops to around 75.78%, so the other player is better. But if you keep using the 83% player and training him there he will pass the other player when his rating gets to 19/20.

His position score for left back is 17 , for every point below 20 it's 2.17 off the percentage , so 3 times 2.17 is 6.48, his left back percentage is 66.00% so you have to take off 6.48, which is 59.52, this is his actual percentage for left back because of being 3 below a perfect natural position of 20, therefore the central defender score of 64% is the highest percentage.
This was how it was worked out for fm22 I'm sure it's the same, hopefully @Mark can put me right if it's not the same for fm23

Pretty close. The 6.51% (3 x 2.17% is 6.51%) off 100% or multiply by 93.49%. So the left back would be 66.00% x 93.49% (100% - 6.51%) = 61.70%. Still below the 64.60% of the centre back.
-the program might already deduct some points because of position rating, the drop off from DL to WBL is too big otherwise
-if you train and play him at left back he'll get to 20/20 for position
-not sure the % are transferable between positions, what I mean is 66% at LB might be relatively worse than 65% at CB Expand

If you read back through the posts you will see I have tested, calculated and allowed for the reduction FM Genie Scout applies.
Depending on my squad I would probably play him at left back as well to see if he develops.
The "balanced" part of the ratings file was trying to get the position ratings comparable across positions. It isn't exact because of the scales they use for calculations. But it is pretty close. I have noticed wingers are favored and I have thought about rescaling.
