Yup, there's a lot of tactical instructions that almost do nothing.
When you see that many different tactic instructions you get the impression that the game is very complicated and deep but in reality most of them almost do nothing.

i think tff was on to that a few years back i noticed he started putting out tactics with little instructions and left it mainly with individual instructions

FM23 and FM24 are pretty much the same game. Looking at the tactics in the table, we can see that FM23 and FM24 are almost identical. Therefore, it is still relevant.
Base Tactic:
Team Instructions: "High Press" | "Much More Often ( Trigger Press )"
Player Instructions: None
Each tactical instruction was tested for 2,880 matches and then the result was translated into a standard season of 38 matches:
That’s very surprising to me. This individual instruction testing is a great idea.

Those results literally broke my heart, not even 0.1% difference ... that's insane

I remember Max EBFM tested 'Step Up More' and 'Drop Off More' and found they were doing nothing

At least step up more was giving 0.5% but he said it might be RNG generating this factor.
I am testing it is like getting 2-3 goals less. Btw those results at least opened a world.
Good Job
nothing can surprise me with this match engine
For me personally this is 2 worst match engine in history!
This doesnt mean they do nothing it means they are equally effective as each other on average considering no other instructions.
Tactical instructions will compound on each other to become more effective together.

What's the other one?
No sense to test one instruction without synergia ?...it doesnt work this way i guess. Need to test it in logic pairs at least ?

Hello, are there plans to retest all tactical instructions for fm24?
Yeah same question - are these still relevant for FM24?
