Blue 3.3 and 3.2 with exact same point and gd, seems no difference

It was removed because it used FM-Arena's set pieces, but there was a problem with their experiments and they are going to update it again. As soon as their set pieces are consolidated, I will put the tactic up again. If you have any question, look in the forum for FM-Arena's set pieces or ask @Zippo.

As a middcle-class team coach, in the middle of the season, within a squadchange (old, bad out -> young, talented in = end of the season 5-6 new/better player) in the 1st season:

Should i use the Blue 3.3 AW tactic or should i wait for next or even the season after, because it´s for stronger teams?
So far, 22 Bundesliga-Matches played, i`m 2nd-3rd behind Dortmund/Bayern, with Hertha.

Or is it okay or even better to use 3.3. Blue-AW now? It should be THAT much risky, right? :D

I`ll try it anyway, because have better offensive midfield winger than defensive winger.

Don't bother changing tactics. If they are all same score and same goal difference, then they are statistically equal and it's better to use the one you have the best players for.

@ZaZ for tough away games would it make sense to start out with cautious mentality and then change back to positive at/after HT? or should it always be kept at positive.

And if chasing a goal would it make sense to switch to more attacking mentality or is it better using touchline shouts etc.?

I don't know what would @ZaZ suggested but I suggest when you're winning and you want to protect the score then you can try to turn ZaZ Blue tactic into this tactic https://fm-arena.com/tactic/2615-chrys-4-4-2-axis/ because if you look at the testing result this tactic has a better defense it conceded only 57 vs 74 ( ZaZ - Blue ) in the test, also the defense of it can further increased by increasing the Time Wasting Instructions and doing other adjustments.

It was good on FM21, but I didn't test how much it affects performance on this version. I'll try to check later.

When building these tactics on the xbox version, what tactic style do you go with? I see yours just says custom but I always have to pick one of the list. Should you go with clean slate or is there something else?

You can pick any, then change the instructions and set pieces.

Can we get 3.3 AW tested by any chance?

It would probably get around the same score.

So do you think the AW versions being better than the original is accurate?

They have the same points per match, meaning they are technically tied. Since neither is better than the other, you can use the one that fits your players the most.

So i finally switched to Blue 3.3 AW, 1st season Hertha BSC.
Before using 3.2-3.3 and NO ZaZ preferred training. Now even using this also.

Lost to classic FM "Cheat" in german cup to SC Freiburg at penalties...omega-unlucky.
My team was so dominant but no goals... :(

Won 4-1 vs Frankfurt after. Lost to Gladbach, totally deserved.
But then 5-0, 3-0 AND Berlin-Derby vs Union 7-0!

Now..last 5 matches 1st season.
Dortmund (Haaland is such a beast..37 goals in 29 league-matches...) needs to struggle and we have to beat them in the last league-match vs them.
Wish me luck. :)

So far, so awesome!
Guys, use the training from ZaZ, it`s worth it imo.
Thanks for the tactic so far. 3.3 Blue AW fits alot better for my team.

Greetings and have a nice weekend after this day.

I hope everything goes well there!

P.S.: I'm finishing some details on Blue 4.0. Since version with advanced wingers and defensive wingers are performing equally, I will set 4.0 to be the version with advanced wingers. I prefer that version because managers can set players to ease off tackles when they get booked. The current version with DW will be called Blue 4.0 DW and will also be included, to help those that already bought players for that formation.

Here're some stats from the game:

If we search between players with CA is at least 100 or higher

- 2,058 "Natural" AMR players
- 2,140 "Natural" AML players

- 461 "Natural" MR players
- 398 "Natural" ML players

I always prefer to avoid using tactics with ML/R positions because there're very few players for these positions in the game. It always requires retraining players.

Of course, I would use tactics with ML/MR positions but only if there are much better than other tactics. I mean, if ZaZ Blue with DWs was better by 10 points or more than the version with Regular Wingers then only in this case I would consider playing with the DWs version but if it's only 5 points or less better then IMHO, it isn't worth bothering with ML/R positions.

@ZaZ Playing the Aw version - I have ansu fati, musiala and yusuf demir..
Ansu Fati is really inconsistent for me on either wing - any tips? Maybe he just needs to get comfortable with the tactic - but in the match screen is says he has concern because he doesn’t feel
Suited for the position?

I would advise against using players below accomplished in any position. From accomplished to natural there isn't much difference, but below that it can get quite noticeable. Just give him more time to get used to the position.

He is natural on either wing - but I think it’s because his preferred role is different than what the tactic uses, which shouldn’t make a difference as far as I know.

If he is complaining about the role, then ignore it. Some players have preferred roles and ask for it in contract, but it means nothing during matches, it's just used to make him unhappy. Just make sure to balance it making him happy in other ways, like winning matches.

Blue 4.0 uploaded, probably the final version of Blue for FM22. Legacy version with DW was also uploaded. I'll update first post after results, since I have yet to see if it goes better here.

Changes are set pieces, which are now very close to optimal and won't be touched anymore. Blue AW also became the main branch, because there are more players natural on AML/R than ML/R (thanks @Rince for the info), as well as the possibility of setting Ease Off Tackles after getting a yellow card.

Light version will also be uploaded after the results.
