If your assistant manager possesses a high value in tactical knowledge and Judging player ability, their team selection advice will be reliable 95% of the time. However, during Cup matches, I prefer to manually select the best XI option, as the assistant manager may prioritize player rotation over optimal choice
Do you follow your assistant manager opinion (current ability) or do you pick them just by looking at the attributes or based on current form?
I am just curious.

To add to @Lapidus responses, you can use his advice to recruit best players and my tip to pick the best XI for a given match.
Concentrate on physical attributes before anything else, select your fastest players in each position and train them in that role
