Thank you! It should work on weak teams. In fact, I tried it with Burnley, and results of this version are presented below, for five different runs.
Goals Scored
Corner: 11, 4, 8, 7, 14
Direct Free Kick: 0, 2, 1, 0, 1
Indirect Free Kick: 5, 5, 7, 5, 3

Goals Conceded
Corner: 4, 5, 5, 5, 3
Direct Free Kick: 1, 0, 0, 2, 0
Indirect Free Kick: 2, 2, 4, 2, 3

As you can see, from around 80 goals per season, ~15 were from set pieces, which is almost 20% of goals. I expect numbers to be even better with teams of higher standing.

How is this compared to Gerrard's set pieces?

In my experiments my new set pieces did better, but I was hoping more people could try and compare with ARSENAL21 or parisianplay3.

Cool, I'm currently testing.

Another question.
Are there any beneficial player traits for each position?

I can only conjecture about it since I did not do any experiments about it. Personally, my preferred traits are to beat the offside trap and goal scoring traits, like shoot with power or place shots. Other than that, traits that reinforce instructions of the tactic and role position, like knock the ball past the opponent, move into channels or throw into tackles.

If you want one example of what I would add to a frontline player, it would be:
- Likes to try to beat offside trap
- Knocks ball past opponent
- Tries first time shots

Additionally to what ZaZ said I really like gets forward whenever possible on wing backs although it might not be needed in current FM26 meta as they are already very offensive.

Hi ZaZ, I'm a huge fan of you since FM 24, u create the best tactic until now. Your current number 1 tactic is very good, i use mainly at home, when play away or when my team is weak, i will tweak a bit the "Out of Possesion" instruction. I change the Trigger Press to "More Often" and the Defensive Line Behavior to "Balance". I used the Parisian Set Piece 4, which is available in FM Scout. For Fun i tried with New Zealand and i dunno man, but i won the World Cup 2026. Great Tactic and Cheers

Thank you, and glad you like it! I did not compare my set pieces with Parisian 4, but I will check it here.

@ZaZ What can I do to increase my possession? In most games, I usually have between 30–35%.

To increase your possession you have to either change to another tactic or have a team overwhelmingly superior to your opponents. Unfortunately, the best tactics will play on have low possession.

That being said, the only metrics that matter in football are goal difference for each match, and points per match in the league. If you score more than your opponent, you win the match, and if you get more points by the end of the season, you are the champion. Possession is just one of the many ways to achieve that, and it should never be the final objective.

It is fine if your personal preference is possession-based football, but unfortunately FM-Arena does not track possession when testing tactics.

Hey ZaZ.

I've tested your set piece 2.0 tactics on some League 1-2 English teams with success, as well as some world class teams with varying success.

It seems strong offensively especially with corners but I think defending corners could be improved. I've tried my best testing this with no luck at the moment. Will playing for set pieces ever be a strong instruction as a part of Autumn or any other top tactic? If set pieces can be improved much from here that is. Cheers.
