A Brand New Genie Scout rating system - Please Test!

by Chriswin4, Dec 30, 2023

gonna try to explain it a bit futher :

So basically you have 2 players :

- Ask your self how much cost wakanda-forever and how much cost Odri.

Now we supposed that the Purity's "test" is attendibile (means not much RNG involved)

The different between them is how much 0.10+ on Odri's favor.
(You can apply same method to Adama and Junior)

- Now after that you can see where the poor Wakanda or Adama falls down are the hidden attribute.

Since @NandaldiaN screen shows even CA and hidden attributes (you can use fmrte or just going guessing with icons)

We can see that wakanda forever has :

-14 consistency
-9 Temperament
-14 Pressure

(it's even mono leg basically)

vs Odri

-16 Consistency
-14 Temperament
-12 Pressure

one is 123 CA and the other 139

(keep in mind this my understanding that those 3 hidden stats are boosting or killing a player perfomance)

Now we should know how exatcly those hidden affecting on the m.e. and alot of infinite blabering.

Since both of players won't really develop any futher :

If i pay my wakanda forever around 10 and Odri around 20 it's worth to spend those 10 mil more for 0.10+ av.Rate? (you can even pay 6 and 13) same concept.

Another thing, when you are testing players, keep in mind to put the same hiddens if you want to compare which are more impactful. (That's how stats were tested on FM-Arena)

At the end of the day i would go Wakanda. Simple because Odri won't scale and i can make profit from Wakanda.

My 2 cookies.

There are different stats for each position. You can see them in Settings (click on FMRTE topright)

I don't use them for the same reason I don't use genie or CA/PA in general while playing, but judging from how it's implemented, you can adjust them to be however you like them to be.

Yeah, those in my image are just the default values. As I said, I don't use them. I use my own way of evaluating players based on how I feel they fit within my system and how I would want them to play. Works well enough for me, but well... my name is Speed after all so I guess I value the right things haha.

It sounds to me like your ratings file has been altered some how.

I have manually calculated the ratings using both MDW22 and MDW24 ratings values. The calculation is, each attribute score multiplied by the ratings file weighting for the attribute for the position you are calculating. Then divided by the total attribute weighting for the position. And then divided by 20. You then also need to apply the Weight for that position in the rating file, which is where the balancing across positions occurs.

I have assumed they are both strikers.

For MDW24 I make it Ergin 52.38% to Samed 59.15%.

For MDW22 I make it Ergin 51.48% to Samed 58.09%

The difference between the two sets of ratings is in the balancing, the Weight for the position in the rating file. This is how the FS position relates to other positions which I fixed with the rebalancing. Proportionally within the positions MDW22 and MDW24 are the same but there have been some slight changes across positions. For instance in FM24 Haaland wasn't the top player using MDW22 but now is with MDW24. The changes came by comparing across positions based on a standard player as opposed to the best of each position when I did MDW22.

If you load the ratings file you are interested in and then go into Rating/Edit Player Rating you can see the Weight used for each position.

I hope this helps.

I think, something in background of Genie affect ratings very much. Cause i delete all ratings in genie then make corners weight 100 for only rating for FS. Then FS Position 20 all players with 10 corners attributes are rating for FS between %45-%56 but i expect that all FS rating should be %50. Also i cant find reasonable cause for this different ratings.

I can't import this into GS, it does not show up. Does it have to be somewhere else than in the ratings folder?

You don't really import the ratings files in FM24 Genie Scout. The ratings files generally sit in the following location:

C:\FM Genie Scout 24g\Ratings

All you should need to do is copy or move the downloads file to this location. You will then need to reopen Genie Scout, click on the GS logo top left and select Ratings. The new ratings file should be there to be selected. Occasionally after upgrades you may need to go in and reselect the file you want. I reselect every so often just to make sure

Hope this helps
