The question is easy. Is there any successful possession style tactic?

In my opinion, it is very difficult, to get at least 60-65% possession per game. With the OP tactics from fm-arena, I had games against the 18th and had 30-35% possession.

Is there any good tactic? I try to adapt (in game tactic) of Arsenal or Manchester City, but it does not work. In attachment, you see 2 examples.

Furthermore, if I choose "much shorter" passing, is that like time-wasting?
Finally, an FM, which has very good tactics with well known formations like 4-2-3-1.
So basically, a defender with 5 marking and 15 pace is better than a defender with 15 marking and 5 pace. Damn.
sponsorkindest said: Nice, we are doing -5 attribute testing, this proves beyond doubt that passing is a shit attribute and a value more than 8 or 9 should perform as good as a value of 16 to 19.

I am not sure about that.
Maybe passing is "relevant" and strong when it is combined with technique and vision.
So passing gets value when the player also has a high technique and vision rating.
Those tests are blowing my mind. Damn, I will only train pace and acceleration from now on..
Zeyad said: It's insane honestly, something as foundational in football as "passing" has almost ZERO effect in the match engine

That's why no real possession focused play style works "really" good in FM.
TommyToxic said: Well no player has decisions as their only skill, so how does that even matter.

Pace/Acc on its own, pushes the result by 20 points. Decisions does not. That's what I meant.
"DECISIONS" on its own does not have any impact. I think that's a skill which is bound to other skills.
Is there any test with other tactics?
So what if we lower the (passing) tempo to very slow (possession play of style) XOR lower pressing, disable counterattack. Will be pace or physics still be that "strong(er)"?
Lovely tactic, great work.

Tbh I get a bit "desperate", because such a formation is broken in FM.
I don't know any successfully team in the world, playing with such a formation.

Using three real classic "9"?
Apart from that, there are not many known defensive wingers in a 4-*-* tactic.

Nevertheless great work!
I am really surprised that your tactic has only 47 points.
Solid 4-3-3 (4-1-2-3), with standard counter-press, counter and much more often pressing.
