@Gerrard First of all, I hope you don't mind that I posted your tactic here, I did it because I think it's a great tactic. But since you have an FM Arena account, I was told it will not be tested unless it's you that uploads it. It would be great if you could do that at some point.
Please let me know if you want me to delete the thread.
I'm having a great time with this tactic from Knap. It wasn't tested here, so I'm uploading it for testing. Screenshots from test results in holiday mode.
By now we all know what the most effective tactics and formations are, in terms of results. I have used some of the top tactics with great success, but what I want to ask, especially to the people who watch at least key highlights in their games, is: what are the tactics (not necessarily the top ones) that produce a beautiful style of football? I know this is subjective, but what I mean is a style that produces chances in variety os ways (intrincate passing, thru balls, one-twos, conter attacks, low crosses, etc) that is pleasing to watch, not relying only on crosses, set pieces, etc.
For me, some of the best football I have seen in this ME was when using the top tactic in the table (EF 424 IF HP V2 P101 AC, by Gerard) but I'm curious to hear your experiences and suggestions.
This is a tweak of the top tactic in the table (Gerrard's EF 424 IF HP V2 P101 AC) to a 4222 box formation (2 DMC, 2 AMC, 2 STC). Results in holiday mode.
I just wanted to congratulate the people behind FM Arena, the job you do here with the tactics testing is just amazing, and greatly appreciated. Thank you!
At the same time, I wanted to make a suggestion. How about a friendly competition to try to find the best possible tactic for each formation, perhaps creating separated tables for each? So instead of having everyone trying to create a 424 (the most op formation this year, it seems), people could try to perfect the best possible 442, 4411, 4231, 343, 352, etc. Or anything else to help encourage the creation of more diverse tactics, there are just too many 424 that are almost identical, a few 4231, and just too few good tactics with other formations.

Ah, I see your WOF 4222 BOX P108 AC, thank you. It's a shame that there isn't a tactic with this formation performing well in the test, it was better in previous patches.
@Gerrard Can you post your best 4222 box tactic (2 DMC, 2 AMC, 2 SC) for testing here? I haven't seen any tactic with this formation tested recently. And thank you for all your great tactics.
This tactic was the best for me in patch 24.1.0, better and much more fun to use than those weird assymetric tactics. Hopefully it keeps performing well in the new patch, but I'm not updating yet, I'm having so much fun with it in 24.1.0. Please don't give up on this formation, the 4222 brazilian box is sure one of the best formations for FM24.

But why it's boring if the tactic performs better without strikers? And your strikers will still play and score, they just will be a little less advanced on the pitch.
Btw, thanks again for the tactic @ZaZ, it's still doing wonders for me. About bad ratings in some positions, it's not the tactics fault, it's the ME fault for not recognizing that a player played well if they didn't get directly involved in key situations. However, I noticed that if you play a creative player with good passing and vision as the DLP he will get a few assists which will help improve his ratings.
Please let me know if you want me to delete the thread.

Original tactic.

Do you feel that Cosmos performs better than WOF?
Anyway, thanks for the tactics, I'm a fan of the 4222 box and feel it's a very strong formation for this year's version.
