I've been running on the Recovery glitch + Match practice + Attacking + Quickness training schedules and "tested" (played two seasons with a fairly low CA/Highish PA with good professionalism) Belgium GK wonderkid from Genk. He's improved Iirc 4 agility (the most important stat for goalies by far) using no adjustments apart from making his training speciality on agility/balance, his other stats have grown a little, but I imagine a goalkeeper who already has good aerial reach and reflexes say 14-15 for a *great* regen player alongside near 20 agility should make for a near world class goalkeeper. The rest should *probably* grow via match experience and tinkering with their individual specialisation training to eventually move onto reflexes/aerial reach once achieved 19-20~ agility on said goalkeeper. With goalkeeper stat distribution being so heavily leaned to decisions a useless stat I'd say its possible to grow a goalie quite reasonably well only focusing on the 3 key stats but priority on agility. Thanks for the feedback What is that recovery glitch? I seem to have missed it in this thread. You mean the 7x recovery sessions?
What's your point of view on goalkeepers? Majority of these trainings exclude their development. Do you just buy ready made goalkeepers and don't develop them at all?
I got a question related to wingers and strikers Do you also notice that playing with a left foot at left winger and a right foot at right winger is far better than having wingers with "inverted feet"? Is there a reason for that or it's just me? 😁 Also, regarding strikers I've tried meta ones with pace and acceleration but nothing beats a tall man up front with high jumping reach, do you feel the same?
Yeah, I've been through the same thing in FM23 and FM24 with training injuries. Honestly, there's not much you can do with the training itself to stop them. My trick is to avoid signing players who are prone to injury and to have a big squad. I try to have two players for every position and a couple of guys who can play different spots (like a fullback who can also be a DM, or an attacking mid who can play as a striker or winger). This way, if someone gets hurt, you've got backup. Good luck! Expand
Exactly, after the first half season I learned that 25 player squad with some versatile players are a must
Yarema said: You are trading a bit more injuries for better development overall. I've been using this particular training for a long time now and doesn't seem that bad in terms of injuries really. Well under league average for injuries most of the time. And most of them are minor - few days out. There will be periods when you have a bit more problems.
Overall I also think you need to readjust expectations a bit. Your situation sounds completely normal or even better than normal. Players get injured all the time, I'd say FM even underplays this compared to real life.
As for what you can do. Make sure you have good medical staff. Rotate regularly and use timely substitutions in matches. Expand
Correct, prior to posting I tried to do my own investigation and the overall consensus is that FM has less injuries than real life football, however as a human being it's very frustrating when a key player gets injured before a tough round of matches So I was just hoping that there would be a miraculous solution, but I see it is what it is and I will accept that
I'm not sure if I should be posting this here, sorry if it's in the incorrect thread.
I've been browsing through all the investigations and tests you did and I find it fascinating! Training was the last one I've dig into to.
Problem: too many injuries in training Current setup:
I'm currently playing FM23(latest patch) and I've applied ZaZ trainings that can be found here It's running for a 1.5 seasons My coaches workload is between light and average (apologies if this aren't the correct terms, I don't play FM in English) My coaching staff rating per each training component varies between 3.5 and 4 stars. My training facilities are good Auto rest is set according to ZaZ recommendation I'm running this tactic which has high intensity (I believe the majority of successful tactics on the fm23 table runs this type of intensity) Usually I have a week rest between games (getting European football for the first time ever in the upcoming season)
I believe I've provide all the details.
I do see a ton of improvements on my players, however every single week I have a injured player in one of the training sessions, I don't think I've had so far more than 5 players injured simultaneously, however it's annoying to see that message saying that the player has a "muscular fatigue" injury so often. When my assistant manager was taking care of training I was averaging 1 injury a month. Related to the injured players, I do have one reoccurring case of a guy that is "likely to get injured often", his situation has aggravated since using this set of trainings. (prior he has done 2 full seasons as a GK without any injury, since I've plugged this training he has miss 50% of the games), for the rest, the injuries kind of rotates by the remaining players.
Is this one of those things that I just need to accept or there's something else I can do/check/verify that can improve the current injury situation?
