Very excellent tactic mate ! Very solid but my striker (Lukaku) didn't score a lot. But the results are there ! Second season with Chelsea. No transfer, holliday mode all year : Winning PL, UCL, FA Cup and Community shield !
Here are some testings with subtops teams in Big 5 leagues (Stuttgart, Real Sociedad, Brighton, Rennes, Atalanta). Holliday mode all year in first season no transfer ! Finishing on the podium all the time, champions twice ! Look at these results :

Hi Chris, this tactic is awesome ! I'm doing a save with a non-league club from lvl 12 english football, climbing the ranks year after year. I'm now in Championship with a very small budget, and weak players, in comparison with those of clubs which descend from the Premier League like Everton or Brighton.
Media predicted me mid table at the begining of the season, and my boss want me to fight to avoid relegation. I went all year on holliday mode to test the tactic and finished FIRST !
Next season, in Premier League with player max 140 of current ability, in comparaison with the best players ... I'm 10th in mid-season. So i'm very happy with your work. Great great job mate, it's impressive !
