As others have said removing the attributes can offer a bit more challenging gameplay but in my opinion the game already makes it hard to grasp the true ability of players - especially so if you are new to the series. The attributes don't move with the players actual ability (CA) fast and can be very misleading.

I play with the Narigon skin that shows the current ability always, I was tired of players having good stats but awful CA. One might say I permanently play with no attributes because I pay barely any attention to them and just use the CA, as everything is dictated by that number regardless of any attributes except pace & acceleration.

I myself do care about winning a lot though, whilst others roleplay the manager job more it’s all personal preference.
