LW and LB has different PI's than RW and RB.
Based on the recent top 4-2-4 tactics, but trying it in a 4-2-3-1.
Changed mentality from Balanced to Positive, also some PI.
Won PL, FA-cup and Europe League with Brighton.

Blue 2 and Han106 1-24 were slightly disappointing. I guess I had pretty high hopes for them. Still, they both were pretty competitive.

That's a little disappointing yes, I thought they'd both do better. Han106 1-24 did a little bit better though, while my updated one did worse. Even on attacking corners I did worse, and on the update I used the same corner tactic as him.

Maybe the high line I used for IFKA in the orginal one was the one thing giving me the high points, or just very random RNG.

I updated my routines, now they're very similiar to the ones Han106 just posted.

Difference being, in his there is 10 players man-marking on defensive corners and free-kicks. In mine there is 7, while 3 players either stay forward or on the edge of box. It should be more effective than my original anyway, but not sure how it compares to Han106 ones. That will require testing.

My goal is to have effective set-pieces, but also to get good points per match.
I also changed the attacking corner to his, as that was slightly more effective in the tests.

This has now topped the points per match. I still slightly prefer Han106. But that is probably because it has worked so well for me. As I have said before, there are many ways to interpret these results.

Thank you for testing, very interesting results. I'm not surprised about points per match because I've had high success with my routines on all my saves.

I can see I don't do that well on CornerA and IFKA, but then we don't know how many goals came from the play after the set-piece. I like to have some players on the edge of box and in attack, and I get some goals from counter-attacks and the second wave is well defended.

Looking at Han106 CornerA and IFKA is a little bit frightening to me because all 10 players is set to man mark. It can work well on the initial play, but what if you clear it long and give the ball back to the opposition, is the danger over?

I'd like to use the CornerA and IFKA from Han106 as inspiration, but tweak it a little bit so that maybe 6-7 players man mark, and the rest staying in attack or on the edge of the box.
My set-pieces, been very successful with them.

Updated version (2):
Changed defensive free-kicks and corners, more similiar to the Han106 ones.
Slightly changed attacking corners, as they proved a little more effective in the tests.

Hey Mark

Could you by any chance test my setpieces? I already posted them somewhere in the forum, but I didn't upload them to the set-pieces section. I'm interested to see how it will compete.

Testing out now the free kicks method

Don't think there's too much to gain by throw-ins, especially attacking ones. On attack you can only choose between retain possession and work the line. I've always used retain possession because I wanna keep the ball and not risking giving the ball away cheaply. But work the line is interesting, and it would be good to know which one is better.

Only on Attacking third, and if you choose Long Throw you can switch your players around like on other setpieces. Sure some long-throw tactics can be tested, but doing a short throw seems so good already in attack. Work into box is fine there.

On defensive throw-ins however, there's potensial to make it more solid by either zonal or man-marking, and how many players staying in attack or on edge of the box.
Markxzelll said: Hey, what's your set pieces bro??

I'm very happy with my set pieces :)

If you only want my corners they look like this; The main idea is to put many players away from the near post as distraction, and the player attacking the near post to score more. The player attacking ball from edge of the area will also score some headers. And don't worry, you'll never get countered on even with 1 only player in defence.

On this save I scored 45 from corners and 13 goals from indirect free kicks.
I'm always nr. 1 on those, with whatever team I am. Effectiveness depends on the players of course. Gabriel is very good because he's got 17 jumping reach and 17 heading, so I scored 45 in 38. With my normal save I don't have any good headers right now. My best has only 14 jumping reach, but I still have 16 goals in 22 games from corners.

I also score many goals from rebounds on corners, I don't know if all of them counts on the statistics. If the ball is headed out of the area I always have players there to continue the attack.

My defensive set pieces are decent to.

My version and tweak of the powerful 4-2-3-1, based on the other top tactics. Some changes in roles and player instructions, etc. shadow striker and SK on support.

The results provided are from a season on holiday, won CS, PL, FA, EFL and CL. I'm also using this tactic with unbelievable success on my normal save.

Avenger22 said: Yeah but effective wise is the same i mean testing proves it, i have tens of stuff that i think work better when i tested my 352 here but testing showed otherwise, if(S) attack the middle alot always even without sit narrower maybe little bit earlier but won't make a big impact, for example playing with 3xBPD stay wider on outside defenders or not made very little impact both in game and in testing if zero, then it is subjective ofc.
Also i have won in game trophies and broke record with some weak 352 which scored 37 and 45 here, any tactic 50+ is game breaking ME, unless you edit managers in pregame editor and make them more meta there is little challenge match wise in FM especially us who test here who know the meta.

I'm not saying it is more effective than having them both on standard, I just say there's a difference while watching the play of it.

But as you say, we can take all top tactics on this site and perform with it.
There's a lot more than just a tactic that influence the results. Morale, fitness, conditions, subs etc.

Shouts is very effective, and should be used every 15 minutes, and after every goal scored or conceded for maximum performance.

With such high intensity tactics it's important to do subs early. I usually sub both my wingers and wingbacks around the 60th minute mark, they tend to get the most tired.

I can say I play games every 3-4 days, and to have my players rested for every game I had to change the training intensity scheduling. I use "No pitch or gym work" for everything other than excellent condition, where I go with double intensity. This way I've my players rested, but I still rotate my players to keep them all happy. And they still develop very well, as they train with double intensity when they've excellent condition. It just means they rest after games to get their fitness back. Also I don't get many injuries at all.
Avenger22 said: The sit narrower and Stay wider PI are so small the effect few meters nothing more, for example i expect to have AF(a) to play like IF(A) in position with stay wider PI in ME nothing like it barely a difference if any, so the stay wider PI for WB maybe there is no difference, same for IF

There is for sure a difference, I noticed it clearly playing all night. When the IF sit narrower they move into the middle earlier, and the flanks are always open to attack for the wingbacks. I play a mix with the team instructions from this tactic, and most player instructions from Smile's tactic, and I'm on a 19 games winstreak and 32 unbeaten-streak.
A Smile said: This tactic may have reached the ceiling of the current engine, and your simplification of individual player instructions, especially by removing taking More Risks, has really raised the ceiling of this tactic, which is a great innovation!

Are you sure it's all about PI making this tactic getting 63 points compared to your 62 points? I feel like a team instruction like passing into space is super important, and can make a difference. It can alone be those 3-4 more goals scored. Your deformation tactic has that instruction and scored 71 goals, while the hegemony 4-2-3-1 scored 63 goals. I do like the wingers play more narrow and wingbacks play more wide ingame. It makes up so much space for the wingbacks, while the box is crowded with attackers.
Enok said: Can you upload the corner routine?

This is only the attacking corner routine. I might upload more set pieces later on, but I want to improve and test them more first. I scored the most from indirect free kicks too, but just by 1 goal, and I conceded the least in the league from defending corners.

This tactic is incredible, scoring goals for fun. Could be a little bit better in defence, but who cares. It's all about winning and scoring goals. What I love the most about the tactic is the performance of the wingbacks, they contribute so much to the attack. I had Ben White getting 5 assists and a goal in 1 game lmao.

Playing as Arsenal, won both the league and the Champions League very easily. I even used multiple youngsters that I took up from the youth teams, like Nwaneri 16y/old played in 28 league games.

I used the mirror version, just so I could use Saka as RW. Only added a few player instructions to some of the positions that I believe increased the performance a little.

One other thing I'll say is corner kicks. It's so easy to score them. I tweaked them a little in the start of the season, but oh my days, scoring for fun from them in the second half of the season. Btw I love how they've made the new set pieces system this year, I've asked for it for years. And it's perfect. I let my assistant choose the players for the categories and the set pieces takers, but its always in-swinging, so it doesn't matter.

42 corner goals in the league, and 19 corner goals in the Champions league. If anyone want to see my corner setup, I've a screenshot of it

Very good job!

I wanna see this tested with one of the DM's moved to CM. Either like RDCM and LCM, DMC and LCM, or DMC and CM. I guess DMC and LCM would be the best out of those.
Great tactic! I've been very successful with this and the Diamond Cookie tactic. However, after playing with this for a while I saw my "defensive" players in the attack on defending setpieces, and I went into the tactic to check it out. And it looks a little messed up right? Probably not very important, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to change the positions for some players on these set-pieces. Now, after winning the ball and I've a counter-attack, I have the wrong players in attack.

A few examples in the photos, but it's the same for all the different defending set-pieces.

Did you forget to set dribble more and take more risks for the AMC?
Hello

Having great success with my tactic, won the treble in my first season with Arsenal. Similiar to all the great FM21 tactics, but with AMC and Strikers. I found pressing forwards to be very effective, even better than advanced forwards. The role is identical apart from the pressing instruction.

If it wasn't for all my injuries etc. I would do even better. Many games with only 3-4 subs. Also sold players like Aubameyang and Lacazette, playing mostly Martinelli and Nketiah as strikers. Signed Belotti in January and he was sensational.

LM left corners, RM right corners
LB left throw ins, RB right throw ins

Train your players individual to the role/position they play for maximum tactical familiarity.
Good luck using this cracked tactic :D

Hey

Made this tweak a long time ago, and have had great success with it.
It's a tweak of (ZaZ - Blue 3.0) credit to him. I've changed it into a different formation, to get place for a striker. And it's working perfectly. Changed some player instructions and a lot of set pieces too.

I've had amazing results with numerous of teams, but lost all my documents.. Made a new save this week to have something to show. Benevento in Seria A, predicted 18th and finished 2nd first season. No signings made. Also showing a screenshot of my striker's stats, he did very well. I've had Haaland on other saves scoring crazy amount of goals, recommended. Also having a screenshots of a testing save with Arsenal playing mostly youths, and smashing teams.

Hope to get it tested :)
