Kudos to you—posts like this from genuine players, sharing their favorite tactics with real excitement and passion, are something I’ve really missed. With no FM25, the forum feels a bit lifeless lately, full of soulless tactic-testing posts with barely any description or conversation. Really hope this place becomes fun and engaging again

Yeah, same here. SI has a long history of adding features that are mostly cosmetic. But it’s still early, and there’s a chance we might get the best of both worlds—benefits from both in-possession and out-of-possession shapes during attack and defense
ZaZ said: I have tried tactics with one DM, but they work the same as FM24. Not completely bad, but apparently two DMs still work better. There is still a long way to test combinations of IP and OOP, though. Expand
In theory, we can combine the most effective out-of-possession (OOP) shape in FM24—like 4-4-2 or 4-2-4—with the most goal-productive in-possession (IP) shape, such as a 1-4-2-3 or a more conservative setup like 2-2-5-1. These shapes often rely on two defensive midfielders (DMs), similar to the 4-2-3-1 gegenpress meta that's widely used in FM24
Thanks to @A Smile with his 424-Mi series and @Delicious with his Cookies series in FM23. Since FM24 has the same trend of tactic as FM23, I thought I would give it a try and make a tactic with a shape similar to the Cookies series but with this year trending instructions. I almost forgot, shoutout for @dzek for providing me his test league
What do you think the test league can improve, which can replicate the normal league result more? I've heard you mention TFF methods, and it's true that his tactics get you results consistently in previous versions.
