@Mark@ZaZ Have either of you looked at the Genie Role ratings while using either of your rating files? Seems that it DOES change the underlying positional ratings you have modified, while also giving additional percentage points to the critical role attributes. Just wondering if that helps to even further differentiate better players, although I understand ZaZ's point of "wasting" CA on useless attributes.
Looking at and testing through both ratings files from @Mark and @ZaZ I'd say if you are looking for most "bang for your buck" and maybe not a lot of money I'd use the one from Zaz as it strictly looks at the attributes table and if you have no money you can squeeze in pretty much any MFer that has important atts and they will do well. Personally as I go up and have any money to spend on players I like Mark's better as it still prioritizes the important attributes, however truly seems to differentiate the top players (assuming other stats DO matter somewhat)
Edit: no disrespect to either - both your ratings files are definitely better than the standard rating file, just my opinion on them. Your mileage may vary
If you simply drop the file in the Ratings folder, you can simply click "Rating" in Genie Scout and the file will be there to select. No need to Edit and save as your own file name.
Not sure that it can be a direct comparison - but this being a full 2 stars lower than baseline is seemingly even more important than last year with the 1.4 star differential from baseline tactic.
ZaZ said: Just finished first test with balanced. For my setup, it got around the same number of points, but lower goal difference. Gonna run a couple more times to see how it goes. Expand
@ZaZ I'm assuming you aren't tracking that closely, but maybe see amount of injuries Very Attacking v Balanced/Cautious as well? Wonder how the impact is on your actual players seeing as gegenpress is nerfed this year.
I have been trying this in FM22 with Dortmund. Pretty solid so far, but not as deadly. Did beat Bayern in the Supercup 4-3. Replaced the BPDs with WCB (S) and the same settings to try it out.
@famulor I'd be more inclined to agree with you if @RDFTactics wasn't one of the best FM tactic creators/re-creators of various managers and tactical styles.
For all those unaware, if you have Genie Scout you can do the following: 1) Under Scouting, go to "Player Search" and in the upper right click the "Interested in: Transfer" (select as low as you want, I usually do at least "Slightly Interested" 2) Click down and select a player, then hit Ctrl + A to Select All 3) In Genie Scout (with loaded game) hit Ctrl + L and all of those players will go to a quick Shortlist in Genie Scout
This will allow you to filter however you want in game (EU National, Asking Price, Interested in joining you, etc) and bring that into Genie Scout to search who is the best fit/best available to join you.
Mark said: @Gracolas I have spent a bit of time refining the weightings and testing them and now think I have the most important attributes for each position. I have only included the ones above 6% in for each position otherwise it becomes a bit too large to fathom. But here goes
Most of the attacking positions only have a few attributes that have a major impact, but the central and defensive positions appear to be a bit more complex in terms of the attributes that matter. Hope this helps someone.
I am now rebuilding my squads for next season. Playing 3 different teams in vastly different comps in my current save. Holstein Kiel in Bundasliga 2, just promoted to the top league, A League side Macarthur, won this year and now in Asian Champions League, and St Albans, won Vanarama South and up to Vanarama National next season. This save has been going a while so started with many slow players, restructured when the attributes testing table came out and now realigning with the table above. Expand
@Mark Have you redone your Genie Scout ratings from the above? If so, could you share? I found them very helpful.
And that is the best Genie file to use so far?

Still looks strong GF/GA.
