I have been working on a football game called ClubChairman LIVE, and since this is probably one of the most footballmanagement heavy communities around, I thought some of you might be interested in trying it. And maybe give me some feedback so i can make it much better.
The main idea is that you are not the manager you are the chairman/owner of the club. Instead of choosing formations and tactics, you are responsible for the bigger decisions around the club: finances, transfers, staff, facilities, the stadium, scouting and developing the squad.
The game takes place in a live online football world, so you are competing against other real players rather than playing through an isolated singleplayer save.
Some of the main features at the moment are: Buy and sell players on the transfer market Scout players and develop youngsters Hire managers, coaches, scouts, physios and other staff Upgrade your stadium and club facilities Manage wages, contracts and the club’s finances Invest club money in real estate, bonds and virtual crypto investments that follow real-world market movements(3x to amplify rewards and loss) Compete through league seasons with promotion, relegation, national cups and international cup you can qualify for through the top division. Play friendlies while waiting for league allocation and follow matches live Build the club over multiple seasons rather than starting over after each one
The thing I wanted to make differently from most football games was the feeling of running the whole club, rather than controlling what happens on the pitch.
Its still a relatively new game, so Im actively improving it and adding features. Feedback from people who already play Football Manager and other management games would genuinely be useful, especially if something feels confusing, unbalanced or is simply missing.
TIP! If you decide to play then protect your best players with higher wages. Every player has a minimum release clause linked to their salary, so a low wage can make a valuable player surprisingly cheap for another club to buy. Learning the market and giving important players the right contracts is a big part of the game. If not other users will buy your players for cheap.
