this is exactly what I meant above mate, the DMC stands outside the area offering an option for the offload, the 3 in the box end up being your wingers and striker...
Did a few games with this and for whatever reason it is pretty effective... seems to be because the DM isn't actually going in to mark the keeper, he's standing outside the box in space pretty much unmarked so it opens up more passing angles? I did play about 7 matches and saw probably 20 highlights of chances from throws, and around 5 goals from them, so it definitely works.
Defensively, this is on another level in my test that I'm doing at the moment with Boreham Wood... played 22, won 19, drawn 2, lost 1, and only conceded 7 goals in those 22 games... From an attacking perspective I'm finding that the striker isnt getting involved at all, these have the best striker in the league, and he's scored 6 in 15 starts and 7 sub appearances... Will try to tweak a bit to get him more involved because if he was scoring as well it would be absolutely insane.
