Still enjoying this one. Really nice to have a tactic with 2 strikers. Still find some annoyance with wide players running into dead ends - but they do assist and score, so hardly a big gripe.

Testing my Croatian team in the Champions League now - so stronger competition. Firstly played Real Madrid in the Super Cup. They had a 32 year old Mbappe (still amazing). Turned them over 4-0. Lost against Leverkusen in Cl group stage, but also beat Galatasary 3-0 away and Arsenal 4-1 at home.

So sitting pretty on 6 points after 3 games. Hope to keep building the rep so I can bring in some better class players.
I've been managing in the Croatian top flight for a few years now. I was an underdog, but am now the top rated team there. However, there is no league or cup money and it is hard to attract big names. Therefore doing well in Europe is important.

I've tried many tactics and they are great domestically, but can't cope with the leap to European major clubs. This season, after finishing third in the Champions League group stages, I decided to switch it up. I played with this formation on FM19 and enjoyed it - but I had a big club then, I was unsure how it would cope with a team with less ability.

In all, I played 17 games (to the end of the season). It went unbeaten. I won the domestic cup 5-1 against my biggest rivals. But in the Europa League it surprised me. Took down PSV 7-2 over 2 legs, then Porto 9-2. Final against Atletico Madrid. A team on paper who are way better than us. We won 4-1.

This comes with a caveat that it does seem to offer up chances to your opponent, but we made plenty of good tackles, blocks and saves. The AMC floats in out of games and the wide players still have the urge to run into corners and not get enough good balls in. But, it scores nice goals, plays some nice footy and can clearly push a teams performances. Whether it will cope when it comes to playing Barcelona, Liverpool, Juve etc, I don't know. Whether my players just suited the roles and were starting to hit new levels anyway, perhaps. But it has pushed my team to a new level and added a new spark to the save.

Great stuff - I'm enjoying it.
Any good results with this in a weaker league? I'm trying a save in Croatia and am now in the top flight. I've won the league a few times, but no getting anywhere in Europe. There is no prize money in Croatia, so the likes of Fulham and Southampton are likely rich compared to me!

I've tried a few tactics and had some joy with Zaz blue. But I find wing play in most tactics really tough this year. Most tactics I've tied just have wingers running to the byline (if the instruction is on or not) and winning corner after corner. There is sometimes a goal or assist, but I like to watch highlights and when my winger gets the ball, I know 90% of the time, nothing will happen.

Since this is winglerless, I am thinking about swapping to it. But it means a wholesale change in my squad, so wondered if anyone had joy with it in a smaller league, getting to the end of the Champions League etc.
Firstly, congratulations on the tactic. It clearly is working so well for others and the results I see are amazing.

I'm having some mixed results with it to be honest. I will add that I'm in the Croatian league with no money - so no Messi or Salah for me!. So I'm aware nothing will come easy for my team. I do consistently win the league now, but have hit a brick wall and no matter what better quality players I bring in, I cannot make that jump into being a European contender.

Even with a reasonable squad, I'm not dominating games in my league. Winning yes, but despite shouts and team talks and rotation, the games are quite laboured. The real frustration I'm having is with the wide players - and to be fair. this tactic is not alone in this. Not matter how quick, or good at dribbling, they seem hell bent in running into dead ends. True, they win corner after corner, but very rarely do they deliver anything in the game. I've tried removing 'cross from byline' but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Is this something in FM21? I last played on FM19 and wingers seemed much more effective there, easily getting double figures in goals and assists. Is anyone else having this frustration? When the highlight goes to the flank, I know there is a 90% chance nothing will happen apart from getting a corner. I should add, this isn't a complaint and I can see from the thread what a good tactic this is. It just seems to be missing a 'spark' and I wonder if it is the wing play that makes me most frustrated. I'm thinking about ditching my wingers for good!

Any tips?
