I already know that you can't edit anything related to positional values and I understand that Genie has already a formula that calculates the positional rating including positional values but here in this post "Mark" uses the positional value results from fm-arena and finds out that 1 point reduction of position value should decrease the positional rating approximately by 2.17%. When reading his reasons behind this theoretical calculations, it kinda makes sense. I just wondered what you think of this idea. You can take a look at the discussion in this thread.
Mark said: It is by 2.17%. For example you have a player rated 18/20 for a position and GS shows 56.84%. The calculation is 56.84% - (56.84% x (2.17% x 2)) = 54.37% Expand
@Bafici I appreciate the good work you have done here but what about the position values a player has? I mean there was a test two years ago for player positions, which basically says even 1 point in player position has an impact on the tactic.
As far as I remember, match focus session before the next match has been included in the game as a new feature. However, I'm not sure if it has an impact on the match engine, player attributes or tactical familiarity etc. If so, which dynamics do you think it has an impact on? Were you be able to observe any change due to the variables related to match focus?
Another way to do it is to take the most important attributes for each position you are using and find the average and best for those attributes in the league you are playing. The filter average as a minimum but look for the higher end if you can afford it, especially for the attribute with the most impact.
I hope this helps Expand
So, you said we needed to consider positional rating as the main criteria to compare players on GS. Should I completely ignore Role ratings on GS?
