it's important to have your superrest day. If you don't want to micromanage anything, the ultimate set&forget training schedule would look something like that. Don't use matches in your schedule cos they will get replaced with match practices. Unless you want more of those. U could leave those days blank or add something like set piece routines (not sure if it makes a difference, not longterm for sure, maybe short term for new squad)

lucailvotto said: What can be considered “meta” today in FM24? For the first team and especially for youth players. I mostly do Youth Academy careers and I’d like to find the ideal training setup for my young players. Expand
It depends on PA of your youth. If you know they aren't particularly talented (a San Marino save, for instance), it's best to full rest them for a year or two, then start training with whatever meta schedule you find. This way you achieve fast players, but lacking in dribbling.
If you know they have decent PA and are still far from reaching it (any country in top 10 leagues, let's say), you train them with any good schedule from here from the get-go. This way they don't lose dribbling attribute.
I'm using 18x recovery, 1x attacking, 1x physical, 1x match practice for all teams. But there are comparable schedules in this thread.

I don't have FM26 nor plan to purchase it, so can't help there. FYI, I edited my previous response for better clarification
Robbo84FM said: That's interesting and it still got some of your players excellent physical growth just like the full rest schedule does but not decreasing other attributes? did you also have additional focus quickness and double intensity? Also how do you do the hack to get the extra recovery sessions i remember i did it on FM24 but i can't remember how to do it? thanks. Expand
It is not better than full rest for physical growth obviously, since full rest lowers players CA, and then that CA gets redistributed into physicals. The training schedule is preserving attributes and as players grow, they mainly gain physical attributes. It takes longer for them to get to the top speed, but I don't mind this in my saves since I play youth only most of the time and players have plenty of time to grow.
Yes, additional focus quickness, but I generally don't like double intensity, so normal intensity for the best condition, the rest is no pitch or gym work.
To exploit, just add match days to training schdeule and move recovery slots, then remove and add more match days, like harvestgreen has already explained.

Yes, and I had the experience of doing full rest, so can compare.
lucailvotto said: In FM24, what do you think about this training routine that’s being described as an exploit on various Chinese websites?
Also, as of today, can you tell me what the real training setup is that “breaks” FM24? Sorry, but I don’t have time to re-read everything… Thanks!!! Expand
I can share my experience trying out different training schedules for different teams. I ended up with one physical, one match practice and one attacking per week, with the rest of the slots filled with recovery through an exploit. For every team including u-18. Most of my promising academy players (I usually play w/o knowing hidden attributes) reached 19-20 pace/acc without losing any technical attributes, but actually gaining in dribbling.
Make a schedule of 2x match practice, then apply it to a week with a match in it. Then copy & paste that week to an empty week, the match will be replaced with match practice (total 3x match practice). Then you can just fill it up with as many as you want.
I tested 21x match practice with my realistic Luton test for most of a season. Tremendous amounts of injuries, but in the few who escaped largely unscathed, their attribute increases were mediocre or even declined slightly.
I then tested it with the EBFM test file. Surprisingly hardly any injuries at all over an entire season; '1' injury proneness has a greater protective effect than I realized. Looking at attribute gains of one player that had no injuries, gains were good but not unusually great.
I'm still thinking of the implications here, but one thing is that these players have 20 professionalism. Could it be that professionalism alone accounts for why players in the EBFM league develop significantly while those in my Luton save do not.. Expand
Yeah, it's been known for a few years, but I don't remember if it was thoroughly tested

About putting every week manually, unfortunately that is how it works in FM. I have complained about it for years, and instead of improving, they even removed the copy and paste button... Expand
Also, I know that jumping reach on wingers is quite important as I saw a lot of goals from them when they respond to crosses and score headers. From your tests, having tall striker didn't make a difference? And what about short DMs, is that a no-go?
@GeorgeFloydOverdosed what I am getting from your data is that I can actually focus less on pace/acc on my wingers in my saves. Potentially opening up a carreer where I get a winger regen I can play until his 40s
@GeorgeFloydOverdosed Great write-up! One question tho, do you think GK impact on the overall result is worth four training sessions per week? Or do those sessions also greatly boost important outfield player attributes?
I took charge of a team from a second division in an Eastern European country that was predicted to finish mid-table. We won promotion, which is no surprise. But then, in our first season in the top flight, we won the league with a 10-point lead without replacing a single player in the squad — and most of them are nearing their 30s, so it’s not like they developed much either.
I believe this is the strongest plug-and-play tactic available right now, especially considering how the test league is structured — creative natural defensive midfielders are hard to come by; most of them are central midfielders.

What training schedules deliver on the pitch?

How to get more than 2 match practice:

They removed copy and paste button? Holy
DC - acc 15-20, pace 18-20, jump 17-20, strength 4-6, flair 20?, vision 15-20?, dribbling 20
DM - acc 19-20, pace 20, jump 20, bravery 12-20?, flair 20?, vision 3-4?, work rate 7-10?
AML/AMR - acc 15-18, pace 16-18, jump 20, flair 20, positioning 18-20, work rate 7
ST - pace 20, acc 18-20, flair 20, work rate 7
So, basically retrain wingers into DL/DR, retrain DL/DR into wingers
So, basically almost nothing has changed since previous versions
