This needs to be tested out for the latest patch. I've been getting very good results with this tactic.
I've started a short save as Sampdoria on the new patch, only signing two centrebacks, and I've got to say this tactic has been quite impressive so far.

Definitely needs to be tested on the new patch!

Let's go!
A Smile said: I am happy that you use it. I think the control power of traditional 433 is very strong. The 433-Difficult childbirth I uploaded earlier yielded good results when I used it in online competitions. I don't really play single player Career, and I do most of my tactics through vacation, so I don't know exactly how it will work against the AI. And I can't speak English, only through the dictionary translation, often words don't make sense, sorry

No problem. It is working very well. It is definitely the best 433 in the tactic table right now.
Yes! More traditional shapes :)

Edit: It's been working quite well for me actually. I used it towards the end of my 2027 Nimes season after using another 433, and I didn't lose a single game which is incredible considering the opposition we were against.

Nice, Lyon (twice), Man City in the UCL (twice), and Arsenal in the UCL Finals which we WON 2-0 in controlling fashion!

FYI I played the finals and instant resulted the rest. The level of my team is FAR from the EPL teams we beat. I have like 3 players close to 150 CA. The rest are low 140-130s.

Christ, what a result.
opq said: yup, mb it's a combination of high d-line and positive mentality plus the tactic doesn't have anyone at center midfield to disrupt counters

Season test with Bayer Leverkusen:

(just realized I messed up the second screenshot, whoops...)
Test with Valencia (Spain)

Competition and League Table:
Valencia was predicted to finish 9th.

Will run a few season sims, I love 433s and symmetrical formations!

Test 1: HJK (Finland)
Got a bit unlucky as 2nd leading goalscorer (Lucas Lingman) got injured in July.

Competitions and League Table
HJK is predicted to finish first in the league.

Test 2: Lazio (Italy)
Lost to Inter Milan in the Europa League finals.

Competitions and League Table
Lazio is predicted to finish fourth in Serie A.

Squad and Data Hub

Test 3: Braga (Portugal)
Didn't lose a single game until November. Lost Ricardo Horta to PSG during the winter transfer window, which might explain the drop in position, as Braga was 1st/2nd for the first half of the season.

Competitions and League Table
Braga is predicted to finish fourth in the league.

Looks like defense is the main concern.
Quite the tactic!

I played as Bournemouth in the very first season using only the instant result option (and spending less than 10 million), and almost won the Premier League. I was sat in first with 34 games played...then both of my keepers got injured on top of the 4 other already injured players. Ended up playing some grayed-out keeper against Spurs.

Had it not been for injuries, I think we could have won the Premier League in the first season as Bournemouth of all teams.
I noticed the right side AF does not have the tackle harder instruction. Is this intentional?

Can't wait to see how this tactic progresses! I love diamond tactics. The crazy thing that stands out to me is that in the Real Madrid sim Rudiger and Militao combined for 30 goals...
NairaGatsby said: this tactic wasn't good for me and the fact man united are finishing 5th with this tactic isnt great

It's definitely not a world-beater, but I think this tactic really depends on what players a club has at the time mainly because it doesn't use wingers, but I could be wrong. In other words, it's not really a tactic that you can just plug in and go. I've added in two more test results with lower table teams and they came out...alright, I guess. Perhaps it's an underdog tactic.

I did have two other runs with Man U using this tactic, but the screenshots didn't save correctly (damn you OnPaste). In my two other runs, I ended in the Champions League spots, but never 1st or 2nd.
Real Madrid - ended in 1st
Probably could have been in the UCL finals considering we lost to Atletico...no offense.

Atletico Madrid - ended in 3rd
What a season from Joao Felix! Lost 2nd place to Barcelona due to H2H. Lost the top spot in our UCL group to Bayer...ended up costing us as we drew Bayern.

Newcastle - ended in 5th

Manchester United - ended in 3rd, 4th, and 5th
My other sims' screenshots messed up, but you can see in the squad screenshots that in my two other runs we ended 3rd and 4th.

Aston Villa - ended in 8th

Nottingham Forest - ended in 10th

Brentford - ended in 7th

Will continue testing when possible. Might try it with an actual save since I prefer playing without wingers.
Will definitely try this out as I progress to my next season.

Update: Perhaps Southhampton's Assman is really highly rated or I just got really lucky, but a simple sim season with Southhampton (where they were predicted to finish 14th) turned into Europa League for next season and winning the Carabao Cup.

Consistently took points off of the big teams as well. And trophies, I guess, in Liverpool's case.
