Schneedler
Trialling some 532 formations for something different as had some success on a lower league save with Blyth Spartans with a fairly young and low quality squad, testing taken place with Aberdeen and Airdrie in Scotland, Aberdeen predicted 4th in the Cinch Premiership and Airdrie predicted 9th in the Cinch Championship.

Some strong performances, will start with Airdrie, as stated predicted 9th and ended up winning the league comfortably in the end scoring plenty in the process and conceded an average of 1 goal per game which given the squad and this years match engine is pretty impressive. Airdrie had an impressive Scottish cup run making the semi finals before losing 4-1 to Celtic, they did however eliminate Rangers in the Quarter Final 3-1 showing the potential for this tactic against far stronger sides.

Onto the Aberdeen season. A Very strong performance in the league splitting the old firm and finishing 2nd dropping points in 8 of the 38 games with Celtic proving too strong having an excellent season themselves. Outscore every other team in the division with a fairly strong defensive performance as well. Didn't win any domestic cups this time around, did make a final and lost in extra time disappointingly but the European performances have more than made up for this, Aberdeen finished 3rd in a difficult Europa League group dropping down into the conference league where they went on to win the competition against Aston Villa in the final with a fairly difficult route to the final as well. Despite finishing behind Celtic in the league they did win the head to head meetings 3-2 across the season.
Slight tweak of my Sneg tactic, removed cross more often from the wing backs and changed SS to AMA, Fiorentina managed to win the league on this sim, predicted 8th and Bournemouth managed a third place finish with a league cup win as well, predicted 18th
Width provided by the wing backs, essentially 3 box to box midfielders, 2 volantes doing so from deep and one from central midfield, a shadow striker turning a front 2 into a hard to track front 3 with plenty of support provided throughout, wasn't too bad defensively either, tested with a Fiorentina side predicted to finish 8th, Conference league runner up on penalties, joint 1st in the league (lost the play off against AC Milan) and Italian Cup runners up. A decent overachieving season despite falling at the last hurdle in all comps
keithb said: With good teams this is amazing. With a big underdog the PI's give the ball away all the time, so many long balls up to no-one and then easy counter's for the opposition. And throw ins probably concede more than they score

I'm having the same issue, tactic is very very strong against similar sides or weaker sides but is struggling for me playing as an underdog and even at times away from home against some weaker sides it's generating high scoring draws, having more success with volts as an underdog tactic so using both tactics just now depending on strength of opposition, from the results others are having this looks to be a tremendous tactic for the big clubs 👏
4231 DIVS
4231 DIVA ATT
Schneedler 4231 Bomber
Started from scratch to make the bomber 4231 tactic, a lot of crosses with high completion rate and aggressive shooting, performed fairly well with Arsenal and Aberdeen when I tested, Aberdeen fan so used them as I know the squad isn't very good and not really suited to the tactic, split the old firm and made both cup finals, just 5 losses in the league all season. Arsenal managed 3rd in the league just 4 points from winning it, they drew their last 2 games disappointingly. runners up in the Europa League and a Carabao Cup win.

picked both of those teams also because both were predicted 4th and I don't really like testing with teams that should win the league
Added 4231 Divs which is a tweak to the DIVA tactic

Changes are focus play down the wings
DM def changed to DM support
AM changed to SS

brought some good results in my own tests so should hopefully perform better than the original
1st time I have posted a tactic as was having some success 5 years into my save with it so thought I would do some testing myself and it brought up some positive results if anyone wants to try it out feel free to give some feedback and hope I am posting it correctly.

Tested with the following

Man City, prediction 1st, won the league comfortably, 1 loss all season, League Cup and FA cup win
Aberdeen, prediction 4th, finished 2nd above Rangers, won the Scottish Cup
Fiorentina, prediction 8th, finished 3rd
Bristol Rovers, prediction 18th, finished 1st
Bournemouth, predicted 20th, finished 11th

Had also tested it on Attacking with the following teams
Liverpool finished 2nd as per prediction and won the Champs League
Dundee Utd finished 4th when predicted 6th
Notts Forest managed 5th when predicted for 19th
Roma won the league when predicted 5th

doesnt seem to be much between mentalities but felt the positive mentality produced more solid results
Just for some context as well, the last match against St Mirren I started the game on balanced and a little while after the 3rd goal we were dominating shots, possession and passing % so changed up to positive and the side dropped off, after St Mirren started the second half strongly I pushed back to balanced again and we then went on to dominate play and score another 3 goals
Thought I would post an update on the tactic through my Aberdeen save, been playing through and over the last 14 games (after the Rangers cup final) have dabbled with changing the mentality through the matches as well which doesn't impact the tactic offensively much at all but does seem to help a lot with limiting come backs from the other side, was seeing a few games when going up 2-3 early on the other side would make dramatic comebacks to level the game up, when changing mentality down to balanced/cautious and even defensive at times away from home the team still looked lethal going forward and a bit more solid at the back to counter the other side playing more positively, still conceded 12 in those 14 games and even took a 1-0 loss to Hibs where they had 1 shot all game (classic fm) but that's not a bad defensive record in my opinion in this game. very enjoyable tactic, predicted 3rd start of the season and miles clear at the top just now with 7 to play
been using this tactic so far with Aberdeen in my second season having recruited specifically for the tactic and its working very well, find when playing through the games instead of holidaying its easier to manage the red cards with 5 subs and is an absolute joy to watch in this match engine as well, it hasnt been too bad defensively for me either all things considered
