I wouldn't say that people gave up. Remmember that a lot of shapes and tactics are retested almost immediately when new ME is introduced, so there is naturally less new "non meta" tactics tested after that. As far as I don't like this FMs meta I'm okay with dozens tweaks of the same tactic being tested. I'm myself still trying to make my beloved WMs work, but I'm not posting anything new since I keep getting similar results in my testing. Also I just found out that playing FM is actually fun for me again, and I'm conquering the world with my 75 points tactic - so I don't do as many tests as at the beginning. This is a reminder, that pretty much every 70+ pts tactic from here is actually really good and can get you great results. I needed that reminder, since I got absolutely fixed about maximizing everything and I had the feeling of missing out when not using a tactic from the top table spot. Sorry, I got a little distracted from the main point. The main point is that a lot of things got tested by now, and if there is no big discovery or ME change we will naturally see a lot less new things being tested. What would be the point of testing a ten versions of short pass low block 443 if by this point we all know that it is just not working. And from the other hand, it is not surprising that creators of the top tactics are testing this minor tweaks in order to squeeze one or two more points scored, since I know that if my tactic were near the top i would do exactly the same to be as close to perfection as I could.
With that being said, some day there will be a new world order, and strikers will be kings again! WE WILL PREVAIL
juliius said: I prefer the setup below for a couple of reasons. First of all no matter what all training will be done, and no travel or matchday stuff will interfere. It does however have the downside of no superrest midweek. However the superrest midweek would only happen on home games anyway because the travel interferes. Mixing schedules slightly and managing it more minutely would definitely provide better rest and use of the modules, i just can't be bothered so i just use this configuration every time. Expand
Correct me if I'm wrong, but after an away game on wednesday isn't there a travel happening on the first slot on thursday? Thus, shouldn't we use 2nd and 3rd slot and not 1st and 2nd? Also, could You remind me which "excel number" is this schedule that You posted?
Encouraging result in a holiday Brighton test. One game away from winning all three competitions. Need to check if that is a RNG fluke or is it viable since previous HERMIONE wasnt performing this good.
Slight tweak of SCRANTON STRANGLER, added WORK BALL INTO BOX to see what difference it will make. In my holiday test it was actually kind of worse than base, but as we all know - only bigger pool of testing matches will show us the truth.
PIs:
OCBs: Stay wider, take more risks, tackle harder BCB: Tackle harder BBMs: Shoot less often, take more risks, tackle harder WMs: Stay wider, tackle harder CHFs: Make more runs, tackle harder
Still trying to make most of this shape. Having a lots of success with that in my main save im curious what the tests will say. Tested with Brighton on holiday, 2nd place in PL and won FA Cup. Strikers and WMs are most important players for sure.

Tested it (ofc it was only one quick holiday test), and it still performs. Won PL and FA Cup with Brighton. Not sure if there is any impact, cuz i didn't test it pre patch, but surely it is still performing great.

Yes, surely there will be a new table
Btw guys, did one random holiday season on the new match engine using top strikerless tactic - won PL and FA Cup with Brighton. Ofc if there is any meta change it will show up on tables, but surely strikerless is still effective, and IMO probably still meta.
For a half of season of my save I started using one week of 113 and one week of 243. I don't know if it makes sense, but I'm seeing quite good developement already, most players developed in the most important areas so I'm sticking to it for a longer time.
Another child of my Strikers + Wide Miedfielders family. Holiday testing with Brighton was quite mid, but want to test it anyway since some stats looks actually decent, and this might work better in a long run. Brighton lost a lot of points in games that should've be easily won. Still very decent performance from strikers. Central one scores the most of goals. Also as always decent performance from WMs, a role in which i fell in love this year (just like i fell for Hermione all these years ago).
I believe it when i see it. My best bet is that it is going to nerf strikerless just a little bit, and it will be still meta. But honestly fingers crossed, I'm really hoping for strikers comeback.

jeeez, I'm actually comfortable with navigating this new UI, but I could be given all the time in the world and I wouldn't figure that out. Thanks!
Great, thanks for all of Your answers! One last thing, I might be stupid and it might be very easy, but i can't figure out how to set the training for my reserve and u-19 teams. I took the responsibility for that area, but honestly I'm cluless where to set the training schedules for them. [FM26]
Hi guys, first of all kudos to everyone involved in testing this stuff. Second of all, when actually playing the game, do You apply these principles in first team training or are You using this training plans also in the youth team?
Edit:
Also, what about GKs? Shouldnt we add at least one GK training session somewhere? And lastly, how about preseason?
Slight changes to THE PAINTER v2 in order to check the impact of adding SLOW PACE DOWN and SIT NARROWER for WMs. Results in my testing seems inconclusive, decent testing season with Brighton tho.
Testing CHOPIN with balanced mentality. This is a weird one. Overall results in my Brighton test seems awfully worse than the base version, but I can't shake of the feeling that it was strongly doomed by RNG. xG table seems very good. Also was doing holiday testing on console (since my laptop isn't great and console runs much faster for me) and it was doing great there. Therefore I'm keen to see the testing results. It can turn out to be awful, but there is a chance it will be actually viable.
Experimenting with 442, need to check what the baseline is. Getting strong offensive vibes but defence seems to be quite weak. From the other hand, this might end up good enough to be viable for strikerless haters like myself I've done one holiday testing season with Brighton. Ended up as runner up in every competition - a little bit dissapointing, but still decent for Brighton. Also decent strikers performance, scoring most of the team goals.
