Electra was developed for FM 21.4.0 and is my most successful FM21 tactic so far. Liverpool won the Premiership with 105 points and also won both the FA Cup and the Champions League. Electra is an enhancement of the hugely successful 4-3-1-2 Reactor that currently tops FM Base’s league of Underdog tactics.
Hyper-attack tactic. Averages 3+ goals per game. Suited to underdogs as it employs your FBs as inverted wing-backs. Half time talk tips Losing or drawing - Expect better / Not good enough leading by 1 goal - Beware complacency Leading by 2 or more goals - say nothing
Another tactic in my 'channel flooding' series where attackers and midfielders progressively overload the opposition defence by flooding the channels. Tested on Liverpool (1st) and Brighton (3rd) in season 20/21.
The Flood v1.0 4-1-3-2-0 DM ASYMMETRIC AM (CR) A fun to watch and hugely successful striker less tactic. Fed by through-balls from the flanks, midfielders progressively overload the defence by flooding the channels. Tested on Liverpool (1st – 105 pts & the Treble) and Fulham (3rd) in season 20/21.
Put the squeeze on the opposition. A tactic focused on continual through-balls. A strikers dream. Assists from all over the pitch. Liverpool win the Quadruple, WBA 6th in the Premier Division.
Aston Villa win the Premier Division! (no signings) The Detector finds weaknesses in the opposition's defense and when you're outclassed often finds a way to grind out a result. Plays attractive to watch football that doesn't rely entirely on long balls over the top.
Put the squeeze on the opposition. A tactic focused almost entirely on continual through-balls. A strikers dream (Salah nets 71 times). Assists from all over the pitch.
Attacking, attractive to watch, high-tempo football with goals galore coming from all areas; deep and byline crosses; intricate pass sequences; through balls; long shots; individual dribbles; set pieces.
Tested during the 20/21 PL season with Man Utd who won the treble and with Aston Villa (media predicted 18th) who finished 4th.
