Same as Blue 3.0, but with both SS moved forward to ST position. I created this tactic because some people prefer to play with two real strikers, but it performs worse than Blue 3.0. I chose PF because it suits my taste, but you can probably change it to AF or another similar role without much impact.  Just like Blue 3.0, you can change the role of DW to W or DLP to DM, with similar results.

For details, check the original version: https://fm-arena.com/thread/884-zaz-blue-2-0/

Tactic and results for holiday mode are presented below.

@ZaZ, it looks like you forgot to upload the tactic. :)

Thank you for reminding me!

I am now running tests for the last tactic with real strikers, similar to Comet. Since it's  almost the same thing, but using Blue as a base, I'll just call it the Blue Comet. Just running a holiday season to get results to show.

The 1st season with Man Utd

Great result!

Thanks for testing! If you want only one striker, then Comet is better. At least now people have some options for tactics with real strikers.

The tactic fits very well Atletico Madrid.

I had an incredible season with it, won everything. :woot:

Thanks for testing! It's nice to see teams that are not favorite, like Atletico, winning everything.

Here's my result with Inter, the 1st season.

I won all trophies! What a great tactic, thanks!

Wow, that's a lot of goals there! Good job!

Tests very well!

I won 6 trophies with Bayern Munich in my first with them :)

hi e congratulations for the tactic...:)...can you help me ? i wanna recreate this, for fm 2020 ...thanks in advance :)

Ran a test with a simple tweak, change PF > AF here are the results - so many goals!  PF is definitely the more stable and consistent, but a nice tweak for when you need a goal

Try Apache and pull SS to PF

Hi,

Can you run your test 6 times for this tactic and see how the result fluctuate?

0

6 times!?!?!  I've done it two cycles, will do it a third not got the time to run it through 6 times today

If you run your test for the same tactic about 6 times then you'll see the points and the goals can fluctuate by 30%. With the same tactic the highest points might be 320 points and the lowest points might be 260 points so 1 or 2 runs isn't enough to confirm anything.

Not seen a 30% swing in point using the test setup im using.  At most its 10% between tests.  I'll do the third test and share the results

That's because you've never tested the same tactic for 6 times. :)

Considering some of the top tactics don't win everything all the time, that's a very good result! Good job!

In the topic of Blue 2.2 (linked in the first post) there are specifics of the tactic, with player instructions and such. I believe @RDFTactics will make a video about it, so you can watch and see everything, including set pieces. He usually reviews tactics very throughly.

I usually run 5 tests and pick the median of each statistic when comparing tactics, but for this one I did only one run since I wasn't trying to become the state-of-the-art.

P.S.: Actually I did 3 of each role to choose between AF, PF or f9. I didn't test other roles like DLP.

If you test in a normal league then per 1 run you test for 38 matches, per 3 runs 38x3=114 matches and per 5 runs 5x38=190 matches.

if you test in a custom league then per 1 run you test for 152 matches ( 2 teams each 76 matches ), per 3 runs you test 152x3=456 matches and per 5 runs you test 152x5=760 matches.

So 190 matches vs 760 matches... I'd say it's a big difference.

I don't have the program to freeze stats, and I don't know what custom league they use here.

The number of matches you test for isn't the only what's important but how you test isn't less or I'd say it's even more important.

If during a testing you leave picking the team to your assistant manager like most people do when they test tactics then you really can't get anything useful from such tests because even the best assistant manager is poor in picking the team for many tactics and he's also poor at rotating the team. For instance, I've tested it many times and found that even the best assistant manager is very poor for picking the team for strikerless tactics. Also, I've been noticing that very often the assistant manager picks much better players for some tactic than for other tactics and that makes the difference not the tactic quality.

@ZaZ

Thank you so much for the effort.
I'm no tester, so I cannot prove data. I just try to have fun with the game.
I liked this tweaked version with strikers just because it feels more natural than the strikerless.
HOWEVER, I'm not sure it produces the same results as strikerless, so I believe I can agree with you.
I "tested" with Leverkusen midseason. No tactic familiarity. Played 3 or 4 matches. One match I lost to Hertha when they only had 1 shot to target.
Other match I had 20 shots but only 2 on target (against krasnodar I believe), and won 1-0.
I reloaded the save and played the same games again.
Reduced the Tempo 1 notch and felt better results. I did not touched anything else.
Last match against Krasnodar:
13 shots
10 on target
won 3-0
But Krasnodar had 11 shots and 7 on target (6 long shots).
I feel the 1 notch lower tempo balanced more, but still felt the "unnatural" strikerless tactic may be better.

Anyway, KUDOS to you.

@ZaZ, hi.

Are you going to update this for the 21.4 patch?

Thanks.

Yes, I will post the version based on 3.0 as soon as I am satisfied with this version.

Updated for this patch. Since I Blue 2.1 performed better in my experiments, this one is a variation of that tactic instead of 2.2 or 3.0 (which failed).

Hi, pal.

Please, restore the 2.2 version which was tested.

Deleting your tactics, especially those which were tested, creates great confusion for everyone and nullifies our work. Please, never do that.

Tell me when you sort out your threads and I'll add your new tactics in the queue.

Thanks.

Sorry, I thought it wasn't useful anymore since you can't roll back to previous patch. I will get it back immediately. I deleted because I thought it would confuse people to have a version 2.2 that is outdated while version 2.1 is considered the one to be used in this patch, so I thought it would confuse people to leave them there.

No worries, thank you for your comprehension.

The previous versions are far from being useless because it's always very useful to know what worked well for the previous patches and how you've been changing your tactics from patch to patch. Also, there are some people that keep their Steam clients in 'Offline mode' to avoid updates so they are still on the previous patches.

Also, having different tactics with the same name is extremely confusion. Imagine, people were discussing and positing results for a tactic that was called Blue 2.0 but you've deleted it and uploaded a different tactic with the same name. Now people are discussing and uploading results for a tactic that's is also called Blue 2.0 but it's a different tactic. Could you imagine how confusing it will be for people that only recently stumbled across your thread? :)

Please, check this - https://fm-arena.com/find-comment/3977/

Thanks.
