In one season in Polish 5th tier league (semi-pro club) my DM was the best player of the team. Many key passes and assist, and also a long-distance goal every few games :)

His score was almost always above 7.0.

I know the DM position is always goign to score lower than other positions but to maximise my team, im looking for another option to upgrade him, or find a new youth player who can grow into that position. Any more recommendions for this position please?

It's been an issue for me for many years. The developers of FM have their vison. Some positions tend to get lower ratings than other. DM is one of those positions that gets lower rating.

Hi @ZaZ, Please tell me your pre-season training schedules. If possible, can you give me some pictures about your training schedules in some months? Thanks you so much.

Is it better to buy players using the highest positional percentage using xyxyxy balanced rating in genie scout or taking the attributes in the rating part and trying to get the best attributes for those over 50 , most positions tend to have between 8 and 10 attributes.to pick the strongest eleven and to buy players.
So is a score of 85% for a DM for example in genie scout worth more than a player with 13 and 14 in the attributes

I'm using the same training schedule for the whole season, including pre-season. I made it to be useful in both situations.

I usually only look at the 3-5 most important attributes, as long as the player doesn't have 1 in everything else.

Do you use the attributes based on the ones in the ykykyk05251 ratings so for example to look for a striker the first 5 highest attributes are Acceleration, finishing, dribbling, pace, technique.

another question, are the results of the ykykyykbalanced and ykykyky05251 only different because of the weightings in genie scout ,, i think they are the same attribute values but they give different % results

About the first question, yes, I look at the highest attributes in that table. About the second question, I don't know what is the balanced version you are talking about. If it is the one from @Mark, then they serve different purposes. One is for the attributes that affect performance the most, ignoring CA and PA. Mark's, on the other hand, considers how a player would be once their attributes stop growing (when they reach their peak).

Thanks for helping

It gives me different ways of finding players ,, it means i can have a couple of saves going using the different ways,  i have one for Genie Scout and one for attributes, Zaz blue is a fantastic tactic so it means i never really have to worry about the tactic , so i can put my time into searching for players , having different ways means i dont always just buy the same players over and over

Is there any tweak that performs better than the 4.0, but isn't different enough to be tested?

edit: please don't interpret my question in a bad way. I'm grateful for this tactic as I don't have the time to create and tweak my own.

It's hard to tell if a tactic that wasn't tested is better. There are different testing sites, and some people that also do tests, and each configuration of tests can lead to slightly different results. In my personal tests, Blue 4.0 and Green 5.0 give me the best results.

Hello @ZaZ !

I follow your tactic since FM 2021 and you have here one time more a very nice tactic!

I'm starting a new season and I'm using the combo Green 5.0 for start the matches and Blue 4.0 when the I need to score.

The positions roles in Green 5.0 for the striker and wingers are different from the Blue 4.0. Should I put my players train that positions roles? The majority of the time the players are performing on Green 5.0

Last season I was using Solid Blue + Blue 4.0 and the roles are the same so I did not have this doubt

Thanks in advance

Thank you!

About what positions to train, I set one CM to train as SS and another to train as AF-At. The role they train is actually not very important to performance, at least in my tests. As long as they are at least accomplished, they will do well, and you should win more matches than you would if you only played Blue all season.

Was there a "ZaZ Squad View"? Can't find it in the downloads, on the first page.

You can use Genie Scout, or the table in "Important Attributes".

Hello @ZaZ any more tests using your training? Its good for youth development?

It is the best I found for development, and it definitely works well for youth. Since it's close to the release of new version, I stopped playing for a while to recharge my batteries for FM23.

130 points in the first season in the Championship

Sitting top after my last game before the world cup break in season 2 (although teams around me have games in hand)

I made a couple of tweaks in removing stay wider and dribble more from the central defenders, and during games I remove tackle harder from anyone who gets a booking. I also plugged in some of my own set piece routines. We scored 29 goals from corners in season one and 13 in 15 so far in season 2 which definitely helps to win us a few extra points.

Chris Smalling currently 3rd top goalscorer in the league, all from corners

Fantatsic work ZaZ!

Hi, great results.
Is this using a combination of Blue and Green, or just Blue ?
I'm also interested in your set piece routines - are you able to share.

What are the best back recommendations for this tactic?

Sorry, but I don't understand your question. What do you mean with back?

I usually just use Blue 4.0, not the solid one or green. It has very good results, even resulting in winning the Premier Leauge with Brighton. However, why is it that my goalkeeper barely can keep a clean sheet to save his life? No matter who i put in goal i always ends up conceding. Now i know i shouldn't complain as i am winning games but i find it pretty irritating conceding so many goals. I have tried switching to the more defensive tactics in games but still no change in the conceding areas. Zaz, what am i supposed to do? Is anyone else having these issues with their goalkeeper not being able to keep a clean sheet

hey @ZaZ , just a quick question regarding the training schedule. do you recommend keeping the same schedule if playing x2 games per week? Im noticing my players arent getting much training done in those weeks as a few of them end up resting in between games and missing training days, is this still fine? I also end up with Match Parctice falling on days pre and post match days, is this ok and just leave alone, or should i change it according to the schedule?

Blue is a very offensive tactic, but it can also be a bit leaky. That's why I recommend some defensive tactic together with Blue, like Solid or Green. Unfortunately, there is no tactic that does everything well, with the best attack and the best defense.

It's fine, don't worry. The players that went to previous match will rest, but all others will train. It's better than setting schedules where everyone rests and have light training, including the ones that didn't play.

thanks @ZaZ . with the effectiveness of this new training schedule, does it benefit you more in terms of player development, to keep youth prospects at your club and doing this training schedule rather than loaning them out to leagues of low reputation eg, premier league team loaning 17-18yr old players to league 2 for example, or better to keep around own club due to better facilities, coaching and training schedule?

Id say im very good at developing young players. Train them until they are 18, some are ready for loans at 17 but they must play otherwise your facilities and training will be better for them, and then loan out from 18+. Again they must play!

I tend to use the devlopment list - set preferences to regular starter and then back on the transfer tab I accept loans which meet my requirements and reject those which dont. This means they should all go out on loan with the expectation of being a regular starter. League 2 is not a good standard though. Aim for League 1 as a minimum and I often have players going to Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, South Korea, Denmark and more leagues, including the top countries in Europe too. These are a better standard and better training facilities than league 2 for example. The most important thing is they are playing games, but not at too low a standard.

You can just put your players up for loan and do it manually, I just do this to save time. Check the offers though, make sure a squad player or lower doesn't sneak through.
