Just done another tests with some tweaks to the system, I ran it with both West Ham and Everton with no transfers in the first season. Won the title with West Ham on 91 points and finished 4th with Everton on 72. Pretty decent results I would say.
It's a similar base to my previous 4-3-3 attempts but with some player instructions added. After speaking with delicious I figured I should add stay wide to the wingers and ask the wing backs to tuck in narrower.
I would love to see how this tactic ranks with the FM Arena test, I'm hoping it my finally be my passage into the excellent bracket, but we'll see.
