I can't seem to make any tactic work with central mids of any role. Do you guys had any success using them? It seems in fm24 that central mids of any role are useless..

I'm trying to make a tactic without wingers to work,not to have 64-65 rating, but be above 60 at least. I am not a big fan on wingers...and i hate that they get relatively low ratings on fm...and unfortunately I quite like to have players with decent ratings on the pitch

Try 2 DMs and 2 attacking Mezz, they will naturally operate in those half spaces/channels and with attacking mentality they operate a little further up potentially covering the spaces the AMR/AML would've covered

I tried exactly that. It works great with City, but when testing it with a lower side it doesn't do that well..

Teams will probably be playing with wide players, set your mezz to mark lb/rb

In normal game 49 pts tactic gives you about 95 pts with Man City which more than enough for winning titles
So in theory if you prefer playing with CMs then in FM24 you are able winning trophies playing with CMs just fine
There's a lot of tactics with 1 x CM or 2 x CMs that would give you 100+ pts with Man City or Liverpool
