If we take all the top scoring 5230 tactics that got from 82 to 86 Points in our tactic testing and test them for about 120 runs or 54,550 matches then they all will end up getting the same score, which is about 83 Points.
There's really no difference between 5230 tactics that scored 82 - 86 Points in our tactic testing but to see that it requires testing them for no less than about 55,000 matches which unfortunately, isn't a feasible task.
Also, we've tested what if we test tactics only for 38 matches instead of 1,350 - 5,400 marches as we do in our tactic testing league. Why? Because 38 matches is how many matches happen in an average league.
Guess what? The highest difference between runs was 25-30 PTS.
Speaking other words, if we create a league(38 matches) that consists of the following teams:
Barcelona Man City Real Madrid Arsenal PSG Bayern Munich Liverpool
And if we use the current top tactic Diaboliq v17.3 with any team in the league then after 38 matches our result would vary from 60 Pts to 90 Pts.
Yes! You aren't mistaken! In such league that consists of equal opponents using the same tactic would produce a result in a range between 60 Pts and 90 Pts!
Once more! Yes! There could be a 30 Pts difference between runs using the same tactic in such league.
This how random FM26 is and you should be aware of it.
But you may ask is it possible to achieve a consistent result? For example, is it possible to get 100+ points every season and winning the tile?
Yes, it's possible to achieve that but there's an important condition for that - your team must be much stronger that ANY other team in the league because a huge difference in the quality reduces the RNG of the result.
And that's why it hard to dominate top leagues in the game such Champions League, English Premier League or Spanish La Liga because to dominate them even using the most effective tactic you still need to have much better players that any other team in the league but there're many teams in those leagues that already have the best players in the game so it's just impossible to have much better players than those players.

CONCLUSION:
OOP Position Proficiency doesn't have any significant impact on the result.
It's much more beneficial to focus on the overall performance of OOP shape of your tactic and the attributes of your players rather then their proficiency in the OOP positions.
Also, it's important to notice that you don't have to train your player to play the OOP positions to see an increase of their proficiency in the OOP positions because their proficiency in the OOP positions should increase naturally just by playing matches.

Every single attribute has a specific value and those specific values are based on the average values of 100 best players for the positions in the game.
With the default attributes of the players in the human controlled teams it got the following result in our tactic testing:
PTS 76 | GD +35 | GF 81 | GA 46 Winning 66% of possible points.
Now, let's REDUCE all the attributes of the players in the human controlled teams only just by "1(ONE) Point" and such action would mean that:
- the defenders in the human controlled teams have all their attributes worse just by 1 point than the defenders in the AI controlled teams.
- the midfielders in the human controlled teams have all their attributes worse just by 1 point than the midfielders in the AI controlled teams.
- the strikers in the human controlled teams have all their attributes worse just by 1 point than the strikers in the AI controlled teams.
And when we test the tactic with the 1 POINT DECREASED attributes we get the following result:
PTS 52 | GD +1 | GF 61 | GA 60 Winning 45% of possible points.
Ok, that was a huge drop in score about -24 points but this time let's INCREASE all the attributes of the players in the human controlled teams only just by "1(ONE) Point" and such action would mean that:
- the defenders in the human controlled teams have all their attributes better just by 1 point than the defenders in the AI controlled teams.
- the midfielders in the human controlled teams have all their attributes better just by 1 point than the midfielders in the AI controlled teams.
- the strikers in the human controlled teams have all their attributes better just by 1 point than the strikers in the AI controlled teams.
And when we test the tactic with the 1 POINT INCREASED attributes we get the following result:
PTS 93 | GD +66 | GF 100 | GA 34 Winning 82% of possible points.
As you can see making the attributes of your player only 1 point better than the attributes of your opponent's player boosted the result about 17 points, from 76 pts to 93 pts.
From the tests above we can conclude that if the attributes of your players are just 1 point worse than the attributes of your opponent's players then when playing against him and using this tactic 4231 fwxm newveggie v2 you can expect winning only about 45% of possible points.
BUT if the attributes of your players' are just 1 point better than the attributes of your opponent's players then when playing against him you can expect winning about 85% of possible point.
As you can see the difference in attributes make a huge impact on the result.
And only when the attributes flip from being 1 point worse to being 1 point better, you start winning 82% of possible points instead 45%. If we take 38 matches distance then it's a swing from 52 point to 93 points and I'd say it's freaking a lot.
I hope that after all that you understand if you struggle with your team in some league and you can't win the title because you only get only about 70-80 pts at the end of each season but it requires getting about 100 pts for wining the title then you understand that changing your tactic won't help in your situation, of course, assuming that you already play with one of high scoring tactics from our tactic testing, in your case you need to look for improving the attributes of your players because only that can boost your result by 20-30 points and win the title.
Unfortunately, the same issue has happened again but this time a different issue caused it.
For the last couple of days the tactic testing was happing without a proper attribute "freezing" in the test league.
That had about +/- 1-2 points impact on the result.
So we had to retest the tactics affected.
The issue caused it is a quick frustrating. The license of our FMRTE "silently" deactivated for an unknow reason and it just stopped working without throwing any errors.
We've reactivated it but now we need to retest the tactics that were uploaded in the last could of days.

Finally, almost after 2 months since the release in the current patch 26.1.1 we have been granted an ability to view what roles AI managers use in their tactics.
We took that information and also the data collected so far to further improve and enhance our tactic testing league.
So we updated our tactic testing league and the same time we applied the latest patch 26.1.1 to our testing server.
And, honestly, I don't want to guess what changes the score.

Back in FM24 @ZaZ discovered a very "interesting" mechanic that allows you greatly restore the Condition attribute of your player between matches.
I've tested it in FM26 and found it's still working.
All credit goes to @ZaZ, I'm just bumping it for FM26.
Here's how to use it to its full potential.
Just right after a match give the players who participated in that match 1 day rest.
I just want to stress, there's no point in giving more than 1 day rest, so 1 day rest is an optimal number, I strongly suggest sticking with that number.
You can select multiple players at once by holding down the left Shift button + Left Mouse button
Then Right Button Mouse click and Training -> Rest Players -> 1 Day
That will give the players an enormous amount of Conditions recovered and a massive Jadedness reduction.
By doing the "one day rest" you recover a crazy amount of Condition for the players and greatly reduce their Jadedness.
The amount is just crazy comparing to other options available and it really looks imbalanced and exploitishhhh.

I've checked and found that the "manual" rest exploited is still working in FM26.
It still looks like a game breaking exploit that allows restoring the Condition attribute almost at full for 1 day.
But I'm not sure if there's any negative consequences from using after every match.
For example, your players might start complaining that you "send" them home too often or something like that.
Here's testing data for Diaboliq v17.3 tactic.
The tactic was tested for 119 runs.
Every single run is 450 matches so it was tested for 53,550 matches in total.
Average Stats After 53,550 matches played:
Average Points = 83.4 PTS
Average "Goals For" = 98.8 GF
Average "Goals Against" = 47.3 GA
Average "Goal Difference" = +51.5 GD
The Highest "Points" was achieved in Test #10 = 89.0 PTS
The Lowest "Points" was achieved in Test #59 = 78.0 PTS
The Highest "Goals For" was achieved in Test #55 = 106.6 GF
The Lowest "Goals For" was achieved in Test #49 = 92.8 GF
The Highest "Goals Against" was achieved in Test #37 = 52.8 GA
The Lowest "Goals Against" was achieved in Test #32 = 42.2 GA
The Highest "Goals Difference" was achieved in Test #55 = +60.2 GD
The Lowest "Goals Difference" was achieved in Test #88 = +42.4 GD
The highest difference in "Points" between single runs(450 matches) is 11 PTS.
So if we tested Diaboliq v17.3 only for 1 run(450 matches) then we could end up with a score of 78.0 PTS or with a score of 89.0 PTS and please notice, that is a 11 points difference and we're talking about here about 450 matches runs and not I even didn't mention 38 matches runs, which usually happen when you play the game in a normal way.
Now, just imagine how high the difference could be if we compare results of 38 matches runs.

If we take all the top scoring 5230 tactics that got from 82 to 86 Points in our tactic testing and test them for about 120 runs or 54,550 matches then they all will end up getting the same score, which is about 83 Points.
There's really no difference between 5230 tactics that scored 82 - 86 Points in our tactic testing but to see that it requires testing them for no less than about 55,000 matches which unfortunately, isn't a feasible task.
Also, we've tested what if we test tactics only for 38 matches instead of 1,350 - 5,400 marches as we do in our tactic testing league. Why? Because 38 matches is how many matches happen in an average league.
Guess what? The highest difference between runs was 25-30 PTS.
Speaking other words, if we create a league(38 matches) that consists of the following teams:
Barcelona
Man City
Real Madrid
Arsenal
PSG
Bayern Munich
Liverpool
And if we use the current top tactic Diaboliq v17.3 with any team in the league then after 38 matches our result would vary from 60 Pts to 90 Pts.
Yes! You aren't mistaken! In such league that consists of equal opponents using the same tactic would produce a result in a range between 60 Pts and 90 Pts!
Once more! Yes! There could be a 30 Pts difference between runs using the same tactic in such league.
This how random FM26 is and you should be aware of it.
But you may ask is it possible to achieve a consistent result? For example, is it possible to get 100+ points every season and winning the tile?
Yes, it's possible to achieve that but there's an important condition for that - your team must be much stronger that ANY other team in the league because a huge difference in the quality reduces the RNG of the result.
And that's why it hard to dominate top leagues in the game such Champions League, English Premier League or Spanish La Liga because to dominate them even using the most effective tactic you still need to have much better players that any other team in the league but there're many teams in those leagues that already have the best players in the game so it's just impossible to have much better players than those players.
This test gives a good clue what impact the OOP position's proficiency has on the result.
The team shape below was used for the test:

CONCLUSION:
OOP Position Proficiency doesn't have any significant impact on the result.
It's much more beneficial to focus on the overall performance of OOP shape of your tactic and the attributes of your players rather then their proficiency in the OOP positions.
Also, it's important to notice that you don't have to train your player to play the OOP positions to see an increase of their proficiency in the OOP positions because their proficiency in the OOP positions should increase naturally just by playing matches.

Every single attribute has a specific value and those specific values are based on the average values of 100 best players for the positions in the game.
I want to bring up a very import topic because from my experience, it's one of the most confusing areas for most people playing FM.
Let's take this tactic from our tactic testing - 4231 fwxm newveggie v2
With the default attributes of the players in the human controlled teams it got the following result in our tactic testing:
PTS 76 | GD +35 | GF 81 | GA 46
Winning 66% of possible points.
Now, let's REDUCE all the attributes of the players in the human controlled teams only just by "1(ONE) Point" and such action would mean that:
- the defenders in the human controlled teams have all their attributes worse just by 1 point than the defenders in the AI controlled teams.
- the midfielders in the human controlled teams have all their attributes worse just by 1 point than the midfielders in the AI controlled teams.
- the strikers in the human controlled teams have all their attributes worse just by 1 point than the strikers in the AI controlled teams.
And when we test the tactic with the 1 POINT DECREASED attributes we get the following result:
PTS 52 | GD +1 | GF 61 | GA 60
Winning 45% of possible points.
Ok, that was a huge drop in score about -24 points but this time let's INCREASE all the attributes of the players in the human controlled teams only just by "1(ONE) Point" and such action would mean that:
- the defenders in the human controlled teams have all their attributes better just by 1 point than the defenders in the AI controlled teams.
- the midfielders in the human controlled teams have all their attributes better just by 1 point than the midfielders in the AI controlled teams.
- the strikers in the human controlled teams have all their attributes better just by 1 point than the strikers in the AI controlled teams.
And when we test the tactic with the 1 POINT INCREASED attributes we get the following result:
PTS 93 | GD +66 | GF 100 | GA 34
Winning 82% of possible points.
As you can see making the attributes of your player only 1 point better than the attributes of your opponent's player boosted the result about 17 points, from 76 pts to 93 pts.
From the tests above we can conclude that if the attributes of your players are just 1 point worse than the attributes of your opponent's players then when playing against him and using this tactic 4231 fwxm newveggie v2 you can expect winning only about 45% of possible points.
BUT if the attributes of your players' are just 1 point better than the attributes of your opponent's players then when playing against him you can expect winning about 85% of possible point.
As you can see the difference in attributes make a huge impact on the result.
And only when the attributes flip from being 1 point worse to being 1 point better, you start winning 82% of possible points instead 45%. If we take 38 matches distance then it's a swing from 52 point to 93 points and I'd say it's freaking a lot.

I hope that after all that you understand if you struggle with your team in some league and you can't win the title because you only get only about 70-80 pts at the end of each season but it requires getting about 100 pts for wining the title then you understand that changing your tactic won't help in your situation, of course, assuming that you already play with one of high scoring tactics from our tactic testing, in your case you need to look for improving the attributes of your players because only that can boost your result by 20-30 points and win the title.

Unfortunately, the same issue has happened again but this time a different issue caused it.
For the last couple of days the tactic testing was happing without a proper attribute "freezing" in the test league.
That had about +/- 1-2 points impact on the result.
So we had to retest the tactics affected.
The issue caused it is a quick frustrating. The license of our FMRTE "silently" deactivated for an unknow reason and it just stopped working without throwing any errors.
We've reactivated it but now we need to retest the tactics that were uploaded in the last could of days.

Recently, we found a small bug in our tactic testing for 26.1.3 patch.
This bug has been fixed now.
Not all tactics from 26.1.3 were affected by this bug.
This bug had a very small impact about 1-3 points.
Only about 50 tactics were affected by this bug, unfortunately, it includes all tactics at the top.
We're going to retest the tactics that were affected.
So don't be surprised if you see that some yours of other people tactics from 26.1.3 patch are retested.
After, retesting the score of affected tactics should not change more than 1-3 points.
And I'll let you know when the retesting is over.

Finally, almost after 2 months since the release in the current patch 26.1.1 we have been granted an ability to view what roles AI managers use in their tactics.
We took that information and also the data collected so far to further improve and enhance our tactic testing league.
So we updated our tactic testing league and the same time we applied the latest patch 26.1.1 to our testing server.
And, honestly, I don't want to guess what changes the score.
I would also advise against double intensity below excellent condition. I don't believe it is worth to risk injuries just to avoid resting one more day, because injured players not only stop training, but also harm the performance of your team during the current season.

Back in FM24 @ZaZ discovered a very "interesting" mechanic that allows you greatly restore the Condition attribute of your player between matches.
I've tested it in FM26 and found it's still working.
All credit goes to @ZaZ, I'm just bumping it for FM26.
Here's how to use it to its full potential.
Just right after a match give the players who participated in that match 1 day rest.
I just want to stress, there's no point in giving more than 1 day rest, so 1 day rest is an optimal number, I strongly suggest sticking with that number.
You can select multiple players at once by holding down the left Shift button + Left Mouse button
Then Right Button Mouse click and Training -> Rest Players -> 1 Day
That will give the players an enormous amount of Conditions recovered and a massive Jadedness reduction.
By doing the "one day rest" you recover a crazy amount of Condition for the players and greatly reduce their Jadedness.
The amount is just crazy comparing to other options available and it really looks imbalanced and exploitishhhh.

I've checked and found that the "manual" rest exploited is still working in FM26.
It still looks like a game breaking exploit that allows restoring the Condition attribute almost at full for 1 day.
But I'm not sure if there's any negative consequences from using after every match.
For example, your players might start complaining that you "send" them home too often or something like that.
