Should you follow the highlighted attributes of the roles?

by Zippo, Apr 26, 2023

@Mark I'm still using your ratings for GS. Would you change anything to your ratings? Could you explain in laymans terms how your ratings work? What is the benefit of me using your ratings and not just focusing on those top key attributes identified here?

If you want to follow key attributes, you don't need multiples ratings.
For example, i made my own GS rating only with 9-10 attributes, and it gives me great results.
The aim is to give energy on top key attributes.

If you want to play the game with a different approach, with all the attributes (but some of them are 100% useless), take Mark GS to find players.

This is what I am trying to understand. Why would I choose Marks over just focusing on the key attributes? What approach is that? More realistic or better?

To be honest, it's not better. But it's more realistic because you follow more attributes.

Second point to be honnest, it was said a lot of time here, if you made a Rating which include Pace, Acc, Anticipation and 4-5 good attributes, you will find top players for the META, not for the general game.

In my Rating Haaland is 10 points ahead form the rest, it seems always realistic :D

Maybe I have a mental block but I'm struggling to allow myself to sign a LB from the semi pro leagues because he has 16 in Acceleration and Pace but low stats in everything else and 10% less in @Mark ratings, when i have a LB who has average stats across the board :D

Could you share your GS ratings?

Thanks! I'm actually still playing FM22 so I'll edit this more in line with the best attributes for that game version. How did you choose the weightings?

0

Attributes % are closely the same, so weightings are not important.

I am sorry, I am overseas at the moment and have a trip across the Simpson Desert when I get back so wont be able to respond thoroughly. If you go back to The original thread for my ratings I think it explains the logic. Otherwise I will try and answer this in 4 or 5 weeks when I am back.

Thanks mate! Enjoy your trip, sounds epic!

That explains it all, in the youtube videos that the save go back 100 years, I've always wondered how lesser clubs manage to win domestic league titles and even win international titles.

Most likely bigger clubs buy players who are good at almost everything but not at speed and acceleration. And smaller clubs end up signing just the worst players but who have good acceleration and good speed. This is also concluded with the fact that 95% of Football Manager clubs always have as a priority the signing of players who are under 23 years old precisely because the young ones are faster than the old ones.

HI @Zippo , is it true that there is a hidden development rate for each player base on each save ? Because there is a Cheat Engine table that can change the development rate. Thanks

Hi,

No, I don't believe there's a hidden attribute "development rate" because if there were such thing then we'd have it for editing in the official pre-game editor or in the official in-game editor.

The player development rate depends on many various factors, it can't be just one thing that determines everything.

Here's some of the factors that affect the player development rate - https://fm-arena.com/thread/2671-player-development-and-training/

Hello Zippo. There are similar tests, but about how to keep the physical attributes of an older player for as long as possible.

I mean how to slow down the fall of pace and acceleration attributes as much as possible. What player parameters affect this?

0

I think It's the age affecting the physical attributes. It quite realistic though

I don't want to make a mistake, but IMO the key attributes is NATURAL FITNESS, it slow down the effects

Hi,

I think "aging" is the main factor that causes the fall of pace and acceleration attributes so not much you can do about that. Also, I think "Natural Fitness" attribute might have some role in that but I'm not sure about that.

0

@Falbravv I'm pretty sure natural fitness was tested and found to have no effect on the degradation of stats due to age whatsoever.  I don't remember where I heard/read it, but I remember it was from a reliable source (Mark or ZaZ here or EBFM maybe).

I think you're right, to be honest i just check my key notes, when they start to be smaller than a young prospect, it's finish for my player lol

but then which attribute should be targeted for our recruitment?
Is the minimum 15 for the attributes?

Target acceleration, pace, agility, balance, anticipation and concentration. I look for at least of a minimum of 14 for acceleration and pace and 13 for the others, regardless of role/position. Be mindful about the league you're in too. Adjust accordingly.

Different attributes for different positions.  There was a long discussion about this on the forums.  https://fm-arena.com/find-comment/10974/  is the most relevant post.

yes but it's not clear enough. for example in fm21 we knew that the meta attributes were speed, acceleration, dribbling, agility and for defenders to take away your dribbling

I think the uncertainty part about that would make the game more interesting. For example, until now you know that the most important attributes would be Pace and Acc but maybe for a DC Jumping Reach would be more important than Pace and Acc.
That's the thing you have to experience yourself to find out. Idk it is just me but if you know all the ingredient to victory then the game will be quite boring to be honest

I think it's pretty clear and the work done by some of the users here has been amazing.  Check out the chart below.  The higher the number, the more important the attribute.

0

on the tests we concluded that the finishing attribute for strikers was useless and it is there, I wonder why?

Did we?

in the attribute test table

0

Yeah it says it's one of the better attributes, if we ignore it's not tested specifically for strikers. Are we reading the same table?
