I think you really have a point here with the fatigue topic @ZaZ

his point was that low fatigue is superior to fresh fatigue. So in theory, its better to have players conditioned rather than being completely fresh.
Just me, or is FM24 even more abusable than Fm23? Physicals are more busted and the tactics are already scoring higher than any FM 23 tactic ever did.

It's been a while and I took that time to turn the cruddy Jupyter Notebook into a command line app. It's wayyyy easier to use than a Jupyter Notebook and I've put a detailed usage guide over in the repository.

You can access it here.

It uses the machine learning weights by default and outputs to a HTML file that you can open and search in the browser...otherwise it's the exact same as the Jupyter Notebook.

Hi, thank you for your work with pyscoutfm. I tried to use your tool by following your guide on GitHub, but I run across a ExPathEvalError on the report generation step. How do I fix this error?
The possession tactics might actually be the perfect tactics to defend with after scoring 1 or two goals. Btw, sorry if I am not supposed to comment in these sections. I will delete if its not allowed.
CBP87 said: How is the tactical familiarity with the swapping of the tactics pal? I know its terms of instructions that the team will be familiar but in terms of roles how are they getting on? do you see a drop in rating? Could a right sided DW suddenly play a Left IW the next game? Sorry for the questions, I'm intrigued though as I think you're on to something here

There's a video by Evidence Based football that shows that the team tactical familiarity has a very small impact. The only time it had even a noticeable impact on his test was when he dropped it to 0, which never happens in the actual game anyway. So don't worry about changing tactics too much.
lets ago, another 4-2-4 on top.
man congrats on the tactics but its so hard to get good players that fit tactics of this shape. I am just gonna stick to the 4-2-4
ZaZ said: Max also released his training schedule after lots of extensive testing, which you can check on his channel. It's very similar to the one I propose, except that he uses one session a week for goalkeeper growth, he does not use automatic resting, and he leaves two days empty for matches.

Where can I find your training schedule?
Pumpkin said: Personally I only use double intensity for teams like U18 or U16 as thats when training is most important in development and worth the slight increase un likelihood of injury

Didn't Evidence Based FM debunk this? Seems match is better even for U 18s

its not fm the game itself. it's a separate application called Fm genie
Zippo said: Hey everybody,

I want to let you know that soon, there'll be some improvements to FM-Arena Tactic Testing League.

We've managed to adjust the league setting in such way that we forced AI Controlled Teams to play only vs Human Controlled Teams and Human Controlled Teams to play only vs AI controlled Teams, that adjustments prevent wasting computing power on calculation matches where AI Controlled Teams play vs AI Controlled Teams matches and that speeds up the testing process about 2-3 times :woot:, so we probably will be able to test the tactics in the Hall of Fame for 7,000 - 8,000 matches instead 2,000 - 4,000 marches as it happens now.

So the updated tactic testing league would look something like this:

AI Controlled Teams play only vs Human Controlled Teams:

Human Controlled Teams play only vs AI Controlled Teams:

So no more spending computing power on calculating matches where AI Controlled Teams plays vs AI Controlled Teams matches, which speeds up the testing process 2-3 times.

Also, there'll be other improvements, for example, at the moment we've gathered huge amount of data about which AI tactical settings work the best and we're gonna implement them so no more spending computing power on testing vs weak AI managers.

I hope you like it!

Cheers.

btw Zippo, one more question. can the manager attributes be edited using in game editor? or is it pregame editor only? asking because I have never bought the in game editor so idk what i need to edit the managers like you did.
Zippo said: I can only provide you with a game save at the end of a test - Game Save

the bellow 2 the most OP formation for AI

But bear in mind, to be successful in real game the "Non Tactical" attributes of an AI manager should also be high but for a tactic testing league it isn't that important some we ignored many of them like, I'm talking about attributes like "Buying Players", "Negotiating", "Business" and some other.

Thank you for sharing the attributes! I am gonna have fun playing around with these. Just one question, what is physicality of play? I don't find that in FMRTE.
SaburoSakai said: Do we have any kind of these for FM 23 ?

i think Mark said that the same filters from FM21 still work for FM23 because the attribute weight hasnt changed that much.
Zippo said: We've been doing internal tests on the updated testing league and the current top tactic "4123 Pressure Cooker" dropped about 9 points vs AI "Elite" Managers, the score decreased from 66 to 57. :)

When I say AI "Elite" Managers I mean the most successful AI tactical settings that we've tested so far.

will you share the attributes of this "elite" AI manager with us as well? I like creating AI managers in m save and just observe their career. Would be really fun to see how well they perform with the elte attributes.
Looks like 4-2-Facking_4 is back on the menu bois.
how do people find suitable left and right midfielders for these formations? i  think really good players in these positions are very rare.

Also curious but how much does corners contribute to these tactics. I remember corner being broken in fm 20 and 21
Thank you for such a detailed write-up! And thank you to everyone else who replied as well!
Thank you for your answer. So in effect, any tactic that scored 50 or above is really good in a normal game, and player attribute triumphs tactics. And I am sorry, but what is a OI? And also, how can training reduce the RNG of away games?
I have a question. So this tactic outscores the previous no.1 by 4 points. and ofc getting points is much harder in these tests than in a normal game. So how does a 4 point difference translate in an actual game.

And ofc, congratulations on regaining top stop!
This is crazy good tactics! Side note, I swear to god this shape always does well in every iteration of fm since fm 20 or something.
