His passing using Direct mine uses standard, ticked down by 1

99 Points with City, 86 with Fulham, City went to the final of every cup possible, won UCL but lost FA Cup and Carabao Cup on penalties in both games

Seems that the effectiveness of Long Throw Ins have been nerfed. Has anyone tried using mixed throw ins for their set piece?

In my RTG Nottingham Forest save I was using Phoenix 4.0 the whole time, not one change to the tacitc, unless we had injuries to the team (this was before the new patch)

In the championship we finished 3rd, but we got promoted

1st season in the Premier league: 6th
2nd Season: 3rd
3rd Season: 3rd (Europa League Win)
4th season: 2nd (Won UCL and FA Cup)
5th season: Won the league (Won FA Cup, lost in UCL Final)
6th season: Won the league by over 15 points (UCL,and FA Cup secured too)

In all of those seasons, we always went through a rough patch during December and January as that is when the players start getting tired with the amount of games played in such little time and it is the peak of injuries, sickness as well, it even got me thinking the CPU knew how to go against my tactic but we were back in form by the beginning of February

Its a 4-1-2-2-1/4-5-1 and it did really well with Man City, even got a UCL spot with Fulham



If you're deseperate for a goal use the Universal (Very Attacking) version, just know that defense will be caught out at times because its so aggressive


If you're up by 2+ goals, or you're in need of stopping the team from scoring when you're up by only 1 goal, use the Universal SUS (Shut Up and Stop)


Results with Man City & Fulham (holidaying whole season)

It’s crazy that this is the only tactic that doesn’t use Mark Tighter on midfielders, Shadow Strikers and Wingers and still does extremely well

Changes I made:
Changed DW to Wingers
Added Mark Tighter to all Midfielders and Strikers
Remove Close Down More from Wingers

Had good results with Man City and finished in a Europe spot with Fulham

I've also used Pheonix for a bit and I quite like it's throw-in setup so I've plugged it here. Also I think tight marking is still good, just not on defenders (that's why tight marking TI is not that effective in my opinion). So I've changed wingers to defensive wingers, and added tight marking on all non-defenders, effectively combining Blue 3.0 with Pheonix. Here are some results of  this tweak but it still needs more testing, not sure yet if it's better than original Blue. I'll play with it in my own save now, and hopefully be able to share some more results soon.

Apparently it has been noticed that Throw-In instructions are not being followed in the new patch.

6.8 thats fine, seems to me that Defensive Wingers work better for strikerless formations.

A 4-2-2-0 which turns as the RPM roams around the field and the DLP stays back, had good results with Man City as they scored over 100 goals and conceded less than 20 and good results Fulham.

V2 Changes:
- Changed width to 'Very Narrow'
- Added 'Shorter Passing'
- Added 'Shorter Passing' Instruction to GK and BPDs, and Wing Back
- Added 'Direct Passing to Shadow Strikers, and DMs
- Added 'Close Down More' to DMs
- Added 'Close Down Less' to BPDs
- Changed Wingers to Wide Midfielders
- Changed RPM to Segundo Volante

What should I be looking at specifically?

This is a 4-1-2-3-0 using Magician's Throw-ins and ZaZ's corner setpieces, can you test this?

Added the new V3 version, it scores more and concedes less, here are the results I got with Man U

can we change the DW to Wingers and then add the 'close down more' instruction?
