Been running tests on tactics, focusing mostly on 4231s (I like a realistic tactic that would work for most teams as my base tactic before I start my long saves and 4231 is way ahead of 433 and the 442s conceded too many)

I look for three things: solid defence, consistent results and good goal distribution.

This is doing the best when you factor those three things in. Defence isn't perfect but wide players scoring a much higher % of the goals and overperforms with every team I've tested with.

Cant work out what it is about the instructions that gets more goals from the wingers - but this tactic has them scoring approx 36% of the teams goals, while other 4231s have them hitting just under 30%

anyway, good work
converted 424 deformation AM4 into a traditional 4231. Tried a holiday season with 3 teams, all on the new patch, some great results and very good defense. Would love to see it tested.
Hi there - is there a start game save file we can download? Been trying out a few tactics and tweaks of tactics - they seem to be doing okay but don't want to spam the website with multiple tactics - would love to be able to run some short tests myself and only upload those that are working well.
Thank you for testing - pretty happy with the goals conceded totals.

it's basically a tactic i downloaded from Knap, tweeked the three midfielders to make more solid/consistent - don't know if that disqualifies it from testing.

The holding version is the same with maybe an extra half a dozen tweeks.
also when I play for real (unlike the above which are just tests) I use this tactic once 70 minutes are gone and I'm in the lead. Improves defence further and saves player energy.

Tested on holiday mode with 12 different teams this came out top - both in terms of points and what I was looking for - defence.

Full disclaimer the base of this tactic is one of Knaps top performers but I made changes to the three midfielders and that scored higher in my tests.

I've tested lots of tactics with some amazing results but almost all of them conceded loads with at least one team, this was consistent with all of them.

Some Holiday test result highlights -
won quad with Man United
Championship with Huddersfield
AFC Wimbledon beat Arsenal 3-0 in FA Cup

Plus some pics from below. (I call it Andy Hybrid on my test results)

Would love to see it tested on here.

Added my holding tactic to the opening post - this was not used in the holiday tests I did but is something I use in game. You can see from my spreadsheets how it faired against some other tactics on here and other sites.

This tactic plays brilliantly, with in game responding (switch to attack or SUS) it has made me dominate.

I holidayed with 4 teams to check it wasn't a fluke. Defense was amazing, Hibs would've won the league if they hadn't lost last game of the season. City did a treble they didn't concede in the prem until game 11. Milan won the league and Luton just missed out on promotion.

With these tests I did click to maximise familiarity at the start but then just clicked to holiday and came back at the end. Noticed they all dropped points in the last month so maybe you need to monitor fitness but if you are looking for a tactic that is solid, overachieves at every level and produces some great performances from the front 3 then this could be for you.

Great if it could be tested.
Noticed on some of the pics I refer to "Wing Drive" this is Strikerless Mornon, I renamed it earlier but all I had changed was set pieces so I changed it back before I posted these pics.

I do use The original version (not the DLP) did a load of playing before I ran these tests and found the original better than the DLP version.
My results this morning with Rangers and the tactic itself:
The winning tactic was this gem. The Brick Wall v2 - it's a tweek of Afterlife 5 but is a 4141 system. It's brilliant - the tests above were holidayed but when you play for real and manage your players it's unstoppable. Here is how it looks:
Been doing my own tests. I found that AFTERLIFE 5 and Strikerless Mormon where my favorite tactics on the forum. I tweeked them both (plus I tweeked a Knap tactic) and then set out running my own tests.

I tested my tactics with City and Rangers (then discarded a few) then tested with Wycombe, Celtic and Liverpool. Then once I'd whittled down more I tested the remaining tactics with Juventus, St. Johnstone and Spurs. Here are the results:
Thanks for testing
I didn't for the above, I just left to assistant. But would be Sterling LM, Silva/Mahrez RM - Foden/Aguero SS and De Bruyne MCR.
Here you go. So when I had been building the tactic I had been reloading a lot to see what worked (and I used the editor). But I wanted to share some fair and honest results, so...

I loaded the 21.4 database (unedited) added two managers and put the tactic in - then I did absolutely nothing else and went on holiday.

These are the results with Rangers and City.

Rangers

Results might not be game breaking but worth considering that I would've picked the teams differently, rested players, looked at training etc. Plus the dropped results were games where I would have played a more attacking tactic; our 1 loss (and one of our draws) was to Hamilton.

Best results 6-0 vs Celtic, 5-2 away to PSV, 5-2 away to Leverkusen and 4-0 win in the cup final to complete treble. Lost 0-1 on aggregate in Europe - probably the 0-0 at home that did it - where I might have gone more attacking if I was playing.

Plus only 12 goals conceded

City

Okay I expected better but was close to being great - knocked out of CL on away goals to Liverpool, knocked out of the F.A. Cup on pens. But a title, a solid defence and the only big team I lost to in normal time was Liverpool
Should also give credit to @Mornon as although roles, shape, instructions and set pieces have changed the team instructions are from his brilliant DLP tactic.
Welcome to The Bank. Having tested numerous tactics I set out to make a solid tactic that could be used for tough away games but this exceeded expectations and is now my starting tactic. Expect lots of clean sheets and high ratings and goals from your wingers. Pace is important in your SS and wide players. Worked with Hemel, Tottenham, England and Rangers.

Could it be tested?
How are the wingers performing? Struggling to get goals and consistency from the AM R/L since the update.
